Im getting my hair done on sat. @ 11 am advise?

highlites?

Im getting my hair done on sat. @ 11 am advise?

Shave your *** and walk backwards.

Im getting my hair done on sat. @ 11 am advise?

Oh good ness if I were you I would call the salon and ask them what they would reccommend or if they know of anything, since they are the experts.

He might have been talking about conditioning treatments, which are good for your hair and that is the only thing I can think of.

Help!!!!!!"""""""""""" with my hair?

i went to the hair dressers and got my hair bleached all blonde.

i love it the only problem is it gros really fast and i cant afford to go back and get my roots done.

i have thick dark blonde hair down to my bum.

the hair dresser used 20 volume paroxied and half 9 half 10 toner could i do the roots my self i would go to sallys or some where like that t get the stuff

Help!!!!!!"""""""""""" with my hair?

Yes, you definitely can go to sallys, get the correct products, %26amp; touch up the roots yourself, but you know that you shouldve thought about this problem before you went all out %26amp; bleached your hair blonde. It's going to be hard work taking care of it though, especially if your hait grows fast. Bleached blonde hair is very high maintenace. Just make sure you dont let all your hair fall out, too much bleach will damage your hair.

Help!!!!!!"""""""""""" with my hair?

First of all I hope you know that using peroxide is going to keep thinning your hair,it may look great now but in a few years when you have very little hair to work with your going to be stuck with what you have.

Help!!!!!!"""""""""""" with my hair?

yes, you can do it yourself. get a bleach blonde color and dye it yourself. only go to the hairstylist about once every 2-3 months.

Help!!!!!!"""""""""""" with my hair?

I've dyed my hair blonde before too. It's really hard to keep dark roots from showing. If you really like the color of your hair being blonde, then I suggest going to the store and buying root touchup dye (Like Nice N Easy Root Touchup). Good luck! =]

Help!!!!!!"""""""""""" with my hair?

I think that you should probably do it your self. Yes, you should got to sallys and get the right product for your hair. I hope you know that bleaching your hair alot also gets your hair yor hair thinner

Help!!!!!!"""""""""""" with my hair?

You're probably going to do it anyway no matter what anybody tells you so I'll just give you some friendly advice: Don't overlap the bleach onto your already blond hair,it'll cause breakage. to check to see if your color is lifting, use a damp cloth and wipe it off. Just because your hair is blond with the bleach on it, doesn't mean that's the color it will be when you wash it. Get good coverage or you will miss spots, especially in the back. Read ALL directions carefully!

Styling hair in bun?

i do highland dance competetivly and i recently got my hair cut and the hair dresser took to much hair off! it is a little less then an ich past my shoulders with my shortest layers just barly past my ears. when i put my hair up i hardly have any hair to work with (i have very fine natural blonde hair). what can i do to put it up in a bun for tomorrow? o and i can not do a bun on myself i have tried. also my mom could hardly do a bun when my hair was 2 inches longer then this. please help

Styling hair in bun?

I used to be in the military. Females do what is called a sock bun. Here is what you need...

old trouser sock

3 hair bands

bobby pins, is necesary

Take an old trouser sock and cut off the toe. Then roll it down so it forms a donut. Put your hair in a regular ponytail and then put the sock over it (like your sliding on a scrunchy) Then take the pony tail hair and spread it out over the sock so it covers it completely. wrap hair band number 2 around the hair and the sock. Now you only see hair in the shape of a bun, the sock is competely covered. Now the hair thats sticking out wrap around the base of the bun and secure with the 3rd hair band. If there are any fly aways then place bobbypins to keep those in place. Hope this helps!!

Styling hair in bun?

do a french braid on the top and then put the rest in a regular bun

Styling hair in bun?

ok, first thing, put ur hair in the desired hight and dont do a full bun, just a messy one. then run out to the drug store and get a hairnet and bobby pins. use the pins to push any fly-aways into the bun then wrap the net around the bun 2-3 times. then use more bobby pins to secure it.

also, if you want, go out and buy one of those fake hair elastic buns and do the bun around ur origonal hair, if its too obvious its not your hair, then cut the fake hair a bit to make it seem natural!

good luck!

Styling hair in bun?

use hair spray and styling gel to comb back the shorter, bun the longer parts and get it in all the right places with styling gel and a super stiff spray and tie it down with a scarf until dry it will be perfect

HELP! bad hair cut?

i got my hair cut today, i had thick, brown shoulder length hair. i told my hair dresser to make it about an inch shorter or not even that just a bit shorter and to give me sidebangs. Well she cut my hair really short like this

http://images.usatoday.com/life/gallery/...

and the side bangs dont really go to the side.

i can barley put it in a pony tail. and i usually like too.

i got my hair cut that length like that like a year ago and didnt like it and it took forever to grow out and it looks like it did before.

What should i do??? any ideas, hair styles or anything .thanks

HELP! bad hair cut?

I also got mine cut a few days ago. I had thick, brown a little bit pass my sholder length hair. Sounds just about like yours. Well I got it cut and it looks just like the pic. Except I have more side bangs. I love it. It is a change and I really like it. What I had them do to my hair is cut it to the desired lenght and then she textured it to take out some of the weight(I have really thick hair) then what I had her do is layered it. I straighten my hair in the morning and it loos really cute. The downside of having hair this short is that you can't really do anything with it. So what I do it take a little bit of hair on top of my head right in the middle and put it back. It looks really cute. Or I just put it back in a half pony tail.

HELP! bad hair cut?

ohhh....wow! twisties in the front with baby ponytails is all i can think of! gl;)

HELP! bad hair cut?

well sweetie theres not much to do now. That hair is very cute!! Tell everyone you wanted it cut like the picture! Its super cute!!!!

You could go back and ask for some styling help, just tell her that you arent sure how to style the bangs, and shell help you out!!!

If your bangs have always parted in the middle and now you try to part them on the side this will take time to "train" them so to speak. ---Push them to the side as you dry them and spray them to help hold em, flat Iron if needed!! Try to have a good attitude about it, I know this maynot be the ideal haircut for you but its done now so do your best dont let any one see you sweat it, because Im sure you will be the onlyone who will notice that it's not perfenct!!!

Good Luck and Im sorry for your bad experience!!!

HELP! bad hair cut?

i don't really know what to say but it is always good to try something new

HELP! bad hair cut?

try to put your hair into a half pony tail but without a hair tie just a small clip....I had that same hair cut a little while ago and a hair tie wouldn't have held it but I was able to twist some into a half pony thing and the bangs came down and looked pretty good

HELP! bad hair cut?

I am sorry this happened to you. But, I wish I could see your hair. I bet it is not as bad as you think!!

Go get you some clips, sashes, bobby pins and experiment with your hair. Find some different styles that will help you feel more comfortable with this cut.

But first off,

You need to call that salon and complain. Tell them the problem and that you would like it to be fixed or a refund!!

And secondly:

when you get your hair cut, be very explanatory. Stylists are not mindreaders. They go by what you say. If at all possible bring pics of what you want.

HELP! bad hair cut?

You should dye it!!! That makes things look better. Im thinking of cutting mine like urs!!!!

***********閳?br> Don't worry about ur hair, if u have good clothes, then don't worry about it. . .

HELP! bad hair cut?

If your hair is straight, put a little puff on the top of your head. All you have to do is just gather your bangs, flip them over, and make a little hill on the top of your head, then clip the back. Use hairspray to hold it in place. If you have hair this short, and cant put it in a ponytail, always straighten it. I cant even imagine how bad it would look like if it was very curly. Well, when i go to a hairdresser, they always cute it short. And i get very mad....but yea.....and i tried searching for short hairstyles f or you, but i couldnt find any websites. Good luck!

How to naturally get my hair back to its blonde color?

My hair used to be blond when I was little but it's been getting darker thru the years. I had never dyed it or anything. Recently I went to a hair dresser and the dude there did something that made my hair start getting the original color again, besides giving shine and strength to it. I think he used some Redken product. He would wash my hair, give it some massage, put the product, then I went to that steam thing (dunno how it is called!) for about 20 mins, then washed again and that was it. I did it about 5 times thru a month and the results are still visible. The hairdresser didn't want to tell me what he used, so I don't know how to keep doing it myself. It was pretty expensive to do that at the hair dresser. I wonder if you guys have suggestions. Not only suggestions of products I could use, but even of healthy stuff to eat that might help in that matter.

How to naturally get my hair back to its blonde color?

I hate to inform you but many people have hair that darkens in colour as they age to adulthood and, even then, some people will continue to darken. Many Caucasians start out as blonde children and, then, darken as they grow up it is very natural for this to occur and it is also very common.

It sounds as though he, the stylist, chemically lightened your hair.

How to naturally get my hair back to its blonde color?

First of all you need a new hairdresser

He should have no problem telling you what is going in your hair

Second keep going to a salon don't do it yourself its more of a headache in the end

How to naturally get my hair back to its blonde color?

just let it all grow out

it's the best way to go!!

How to naturally get my hair back to its blonde color?

I was a toehead when I was little ... my hair has gotten darker every year (I'm nearly 40 now) ... I believe that the hairdresser did either chemically lighten your hair or used a treatment to remove rust, etc. (if you live in an area w/ well water). The hairdresser should NOT have a problem telling you what he did ... if he won't ... find a new one!!!

I struggled w/ the idea of being a "bleach blonde" for a long time ... I was in my late 20s before I started having my hair highlighted ... now I do it all the time, mostly in the winter ... in the summer it does it naturally if I'm out in the sun a lot.

Don't try to do any lightening at home ... your hair will end up yellow ... get any color done professionally. It's expensive ... but it looks better and more natural.

Black hair care....How do I stop my hair from falling out so fast?!?!?!?!?

Ok my problem is simple.....My hair wont stop falling out. Now of course you (should) lose 80-100 strands a day ( I think) so that the hair can reproduce itself. But my hair keeps falling before it has time to grow back and now I have a patch in the back of my head. I go to the hair dresser every week and she conditions my hair and keeps it healthy. I havent been under stress and I eat like a rabbit on steroids....So can anyone please help me! Please! because I have tried eveything yet the hair in the back of my head keeps going, going, %26amp; going.

Thank you

Black hair care....How do I stop my hair from falling out so fast?!?!?!?!?

ask the doc! maybe u hav lukemia!

Black hair care....How do I stop my hair from falling out so fast?!?!?!?!?

ok, dont worry about your hair. a lot of hair falls out normaly everyday. you cant really get a product to make your hair stop from falling, but you can try doing the following things:

dont use hair dye

dont get highlights

put oil in your hair

dont try to not comb your hair, it just makes it worse

there you go. some tips for you. have fun! =]

Black hair care....How do I stop my hair from falling out so fast?!?!?!?!?

i recomend you go to doctor, seriously...and there's a lot of hair products and advertisement about hair falling out, but you might have health problem, so please go to the doctor and take care of yourself. and if the doctor says is normal visit another one

Black hair care....How do I stop my hair from falling out so fast?!?!?!?!?

do u use any products on ur hair? how often do u wash it?

Black hair care....How do I stop my hair from falling out so fast?!?!?!?!?

Hair usually falls out to due to stress, using too many heat products (such as curling iron, hot comb, etc) or from putting dye in hair. I would begin a new hair care regimen and consult your hair salon. Refrain from putting perm or dye into your hair until you get this hair loss situation straightened out. Do not pull your hair back in any tight ponytails or braids because this places a lot of strain on the hair and can cause hair loss. I would do a lot of deep conditioners and sleep with a satin cap on my head. Also, since it is occurring in the back, try to sleep on your side or stomach. Nexxus has a lot of great products. Try Nexxus Emergency.

Black hair care....How do I stop my hair from falling out so fast?!?!?!?!?

You probably have oily hair, steroids increase male hormon, which increases oil production of the scalp. Try shampoo without conditioner, also don't rinse your hair with hot water, it tend to scorch hair follicle makes them more likely to fall out.

Black hair care....How do I stop my hair from falling out so fast?!?!?!?!?

Well, first of all do you relax your hair? If you do this could be the root of your problem. I have naturally wavy hair, however my mom relaxed it when I was younger. I wore it straight for a long time before I decided to go natural. Let me tell you this, I am so suprised at how fast my hair grows now. I have always had hair that grows quickly, but once I stopped with the chemicals, it grows a heck of a lot faster. In the middle of Feb. I cut my hair off to about an inch an inch in a half. Now, it is April, and it has already grown about 3 inches. It is long enough where I can put it into little pony tails. So, I am not saying that you should give up on relaxers, but your hair would prob. be healthier and grow alot quicker. At the moment, my sister wears several weaves, and I have told her that it is going to eventually break her hair out due to the stress and pulling of the braids. Well, sure enough.. a couple of months have gone by and her hair line is indeed thinning. Oh, I would also suggest that if you wear hair styles that are kind of dif. For example.. things that require the hair to be gelled and braided tightly. Prolonged wear of these styles will eventually cause severe breakage. Nevertheless, I wish u the best of luck in whatever you decide to do.

Should hair be kepted moist in summer months??

i am a black orgin women and was told by my hair dresser that even though i am not washin hair every day i should keep it damp and deeply moisterized, she told one way that was easy to do this was get in a warm shower but keep hair pinned up and let the damp steam and water droplets hit my hair till its just dampen then after gettin out of shower deeply moisterize it while its damp i can do this 3 times in between shampooin whice she shampoo my hair every 7 to 10 days so my question is this too much wettin of hair in between shampooing??..

Should hair be kepted moist in summer months??

Well girl, my thing is that because you black and our hair tends to dry out easily, I would not keep it damp everyday for moisture. The best thing to do is to keep it moisturized yes, but with a light oil. I know you've been to a walmart or a beauty supply store. Get some Hot 6 Oil %26amp; African Pride oil. Use a dime/nickel sized drop and just keep your hair nice and moistured. If you can keep your hair wrapped at night and use a satin wrap to keep your hair moisturized. That will help with the shine and from it being so dry looking.

HOpe it helps!

Should hair be kepted moist in summer months??

i don't know about the whole jumpin in the shower thing to keep it moisturized, but i would just use hair products to keep the moisture in it..don't let it get too dry, they have hair grease out there for african american hair that a lot of people use, or there are leave in conditioners that work too...thats just my suggestion

Should hair be kepted moist in summer months??

i think u should keep your hair moist everyday, because i didnt keep my hair moist and it got all dry and poofy.

Should hair be kepted moist in summer months??

yes i FELL LIKE THAT JUST KEEP YOUR HAIR MOIST BY CONDITIONING IT LIKE EVERY 2 DAYS BUT GET LEAVE IN CONDITIONER ! Y'LL BE STRAIGHT!

Hair dye question, is this right?

Yesterday my friend (who was a hair dresser professionally until she had a baby) dyed my hair, Garnier, black cherry, now the thing is she put it on the roots first then ran it through the rest of my hair. It might just be me, but now it looks to me as though the roots really sucked up the red part and the middle to bottom half of my hair isn't as obviously red as my roots. It's not really bad looking you can still see the color through the rest of my hair and she said it will blend together after I wash it a few times. Did she f*** up or is this true? any words of wisdom? it's liveable I was just wondering.

Hair dye question, is this right?

She applied correctly... HOWEVER.. she should be using a pro product. Especially with reds. whenever I do any reds... I always add a higher concentration of reds for when I pull my color through. This is because you don't want a client to have "hot roots" (what you have) The hair at the root is the healthiest and never colored, and so picks up tones the best with the heat of your head further accelerating the process.... therefore, I usually only add to my formula when using reds.... With a store bought product, you don't have the ability to personalize this way. So... yes... she applied correct... no... she didnt have any other options with store purchased.... BUT.... if she is licensed... she should go to a supply store and purchase pro products, so this does not happen. Hope this helps!! Good luck

Hair dye question, is this right?

SAY: I DO-NT LIKE THE HAIR STYLE

Hair dye question, is this right?

She may be right that it will blend. But you didn't say what color you were to start. I am a red head naturally and if I use ANY type of red dye on my hair it jumps on it and hold on for dear life!!!!! I tried a Medium Auburn a few years ago and it turned my hair so Dark Red it was Black with a burgundy hint to it. Try to lighten it up, or just re-do it altogether!!

Hair dye question, is this right?

YEAH SHES CORRECT, WTH A COUPLE OF WASHES ITS GONNA GO AWAY. DONT WORRY

Hair dye question, is this right?

Yes, she did it correctly, and your hair color will balance out.

Hair dye question, is this right?

They reason your roots grabbed the color more is because it is virgin hair and the ends of your hair have probably been colored before. Virgin hair, hair that has never been colored, grabs color better than damaged or previously colored hair. Yes she did apply it right, and the color will fade quickly, especially red. So bear with it, it is only a color, you could cover it up, but I would just let it fade out. Next time, let your friend use the professional products.

Hair dye question, is this right?

my natural color is dirty blonde.. i dyed it blonde and then it was brown coming in and blonde on the ends so my hairdresser dyed it this blackish brownish color.. in different lights my hair looks different colors .. that might be whats happing to ur hair

like in the sun my hair looks brown with a reddish tint but in the house light it loks blackish brownish

good luck,

katie

Hair dye question, is this right?

sounds to me that you got "hot roots". Not trying to be mean but that is what happens when you use box color. The results are extremely unpredictable.

Please help me with a new hair style?

ok so every year before school i change my hair style. I always end up getting side bangs and medium length. I need something new this year.

I always want my hair to grow long but when i go to the dresser i get the dead ends off and then end up with short hair that never gets any longer. im kinda lazy with my hair i usually put it up in a messy (good messy) pony/bun style becuase im usually pretty busy and dont have time.

I want a style thats easy to maintain, but i will take the time to make it nicley styled when ever i have the time. But for the days when i dont i need to have the length to put it up quickly.

my hair is like 1 inche past my sholders (medium length i guess) and its pretty thin, if there are any styles to give it volume that would be awsome. If you could give me pictures that would be awsome, since i can show it to my hair dresser instead of just trying to explain it.

thank you so much :)

Please help me with a new hair style?

i think you should get hair that sweeps down from a side part, but font cut it short, leave it longer and use the sunsilk products. they have many different knids for different kinds of hair. it made my hair less frizzy.

Please help me with a new hair style?

side bangs is cute. why did you change it?

Please help me with a new hair style?

Keep straight hair...?

I have really frizzy and curly hair. It is more frizzy than normal because I died it at home and then fried it with a straight iron. I had my friend who is a hair dresser take the alful color out and cut all my dead ends out. she gave me a cute cut but my hair is so frizzy I don't know what to do with it. I like my hair to be wavy or straight but I don't know how to without killing it. I have a really good straight iron but I don't know what I should use on my hair to protect it. I don't like to wear my hair curly because it looks like a big mess. What should I do and what should I use. Please help. i don't want to kill my hair again. Thank you

Keep straight hair...?

I you wanna use a straightenin iron then put heat protection spray on it or if not get it chemically straightened at your hair salon or you can buy a kit from boots.

Keep straight hair...?

got milk

Keep straight hair...?

Try Garnier Fructis sleek and shine or the one for curls. I think its the green one. Good Luck. I use both.

Keep straight hair...?

use a thermal iron protectant...loreal makes a good one and u can get it at sally's...then use ur flat iron

Keep straight hair...?

Again, I would go to Sally Beauty supply and go to the Ethnic section as they carry some wonderful anti-frizz products and conditioners. Stop fighting the curly look for a while and give your hair a break. The heat is just drying your hair out....sounds like you need some conditioning treatments.

Hair EMERGENCY!!!!!?

i went to the hair dresser and i told her to cut my hair 3 inches, but she cut it 7 inches because she said it would look "cute"

and now my hair is exactly shoulder length with layers and side bangs. i'm kinda freaked out because i've never every had my hair this short before. and it doesn't look good unless i straighten it.

what good hairstyles go with it? i have black hair and tan skin.

thanks!!

Hair EMERGENCY!!!!!?

try feathering it all away from your face..

Hair EMERGENCY!!!!!?

just straighten it and put the side bangs in your face

Hair EMERGENCY!!!!!?

i dont really get the question

but i think your hair sounds really nice cause of your skin and hair colour

:]

Hair EMERGENCY!!!!!?

that's happened to me b4 buti jst kept my hair in a pony all the time.

maybe curling it will look cute? or a messy bun

or pin your bangs to the side with a cute clip

or pin ur bangs all the way up away from ur forehead

im sry, just wait for it to grow and never go to that hair place again!!

Hair EMERGENCY!!!!!?

That sounds EXACTLY how my hair is- what I do it straiten my hair, then put my bangs up in one of those things. I also to low pigtails right below my ears, then sweep my bangs to the side. Also, just a high ponytail with bangs, high meaning pretty high. And down in a loose curl looks cute, too. I sometimes kinda combine those together and all that. I know what you mean though, I got my hair cut last summer really short without thinking, and I was scared to death!! Good Luck!!

Hair EMERGENCY!!!!!?

Hair grows!! Just give it a few days and maybe you'll really like it. Try curling it back away from your face with curls.

African American: My hair is shorter on...?

Okay..I just sort of noticed this now..but my hair is shorter(not like bald or anything..just significantly shorter) on the side I sleep on the most(the right side..and a bit toward the back- on one side)..I am not completely sure that that is why but am almost certain because the other side is just fine and my hair isnt damaged or anything. I had just cut my hair last year because it was damaged then and now its grown back but now I have this problem. I went to the hair dresser's the other week to get the ends trimmed and the hairdresser is the one that told really made me pay attention cause she pointed it ou to me..she also said I needed to go to the hair salon more often(I do my own hair mostly) to get possibly get it fixed. Has anyone else ever had this problem before? Do you think am going to have to cut all my hair to start over or..??What else can I use to help that part grow back? Please help! I really dont want to have to cut my hair AGAIN...:o(

African American: My hair is shorter on...?

More than likely, your hair is shorter on one side of your head because the friction from your pillowcase is causing breakage. This has happened to me before (you're not alone). My stylist told me to tie my hair in a satin wrap each night. Unfortunately, I do not have the patience for that sort of thing. Instead, I now use a satin pillowcase as opposed to cotton. It has worked wonders. Also, it is important to get your hair trimmed every 6-8 weeks. Your hair is in a fragile stage right now, so I would recommend going to the hair stylist every 2-4 weeks for deep conditioning and extra TLC. They might need to layer your hair to even it out, but you should be able to salvage most of the length. You'll get through it!

African American: My hair is shorter on...?

stop using your head for a pot scrubber

African American: My hair is shorter on...?

Hair today......gone tomorrow

African American: My hair is shorter on...?

make sure that you use a satin scarf or pillow case so that hair won't pull.

African American: My hair is shorter on...?

Well...

I'm not sure that the sleeping on the side thing is the reason but your hair just doesnt magicaly get shorter...

I have the same problem but my reason is from chemicals being in my hair ,think abouyt the last shampoos you used and were there any chemicals put in your hair.

Maybe you do need to see a professional

But the thing whith being black is that you gotta be careful who you see for your hair and about your hair.

best of luck =]

African American: My hair is shorter on...?

You don't have to cut your hair again, I am not african american but I have hair very similar, it is hard because people think I'm mixed but i'm not it's just how my hair is! But anyways, take biotin! It will make your hair stronger, the vitamin isn't expensive at all I get mine from Walmart but any drugstore probably has them. Is it possible for you to sleep on your other side? If so maybe try to change it up.

Also, use some deep conditioner once or twice a week and massage your scalp. It will help the blood flow in you scalp which will help your hair grow a little faster. But I really would suggest taking that Biotin. And I don't know if you wear extentions at all, but I used to have weave and I am so happy I took it out because now my hair is growing much faster, so if you are really trying to stick with your natural hair don't get weave.

But you are right, you might want to go to the hair salon a little more often just try to stick up for yourself if they want to cut off too much. Good luck girl

African American: My hair is shorter on...?

You do not have to go to the salon more often just to grow your hair back. The proper maintenance and hair care products can do this for you. http://www.longhairforum.com has some very good tips. For me my hair has ALWAYS been longer on the right than the left as well as the back. My hairstylist tried fixing this problem but it always grows longer on one side than the other.

African American: My hair is shorter on...?

It could be that you hair is damaged or dry.

sleeping on your hair when its damaged can make it worse. So you should cover your head with a scarf. You should go get your ends trimmed and start moisturizing your hair when you get a chance.the effort you put in it the more you'll get out of it.

African American: My hair is shorter on...?

As you have no choice, trim it every 6 weeks to give your face a neat look. The hair dresser will handle the thinned hair on one side. It is not a problem at all. You are not the only person having this problem. Dont ever cut all your hair to improve the condition. It is a wast of time and will cause you embarrassment. All the best.

I have thin hair in the middle of my head. It is no sign of balding. I had it this way since my child hood. I always have a boy cut and it suits me.

Bad hair!!?

so I (like most women) hate my hair....however I really think I'm justified! I have curly, dry, fine, thick hair. At the moment it is shoulder length and I straighten it daily. While not offensive, it's really really boring! I've always been too chicken to do anything with much style to it, because I'm afraid the texture of my hair will ruin the style. To make matters worse my usual hair dresser doesn't know jack about cutting hair (although I tell her every time I want LONG layers....she totally butchers it). So today I got brave and made an appointment at this really fancy salon for a consultation and cut on Saturday. Now I'm scared though! Did I make a mistake??? I don't know what to even tell them I want when I get there! Any suggestions?

Bad hair!!?

Make sure u write down everything you want her to know..tell her exactly what you want..ASK her if she could do it for you. Ask what products she suggests you use and tell her that you want to know step by step everything she is doing while she is styling it. pay attention andget her card sou can call her if u ave questions! Good luck and have fun!

Bad hair!!?

just go for it. if anything bad happens, don't sweat it, hair always grows back.

Bad hair!!?

Ihave naturally curly and yes it is a pain and can be very boring...I don't let anyone near my hair unless they know how to handle naturally curly hair. I mostely striaghten my hair myself and its a pain in the you know where. Yes that gets boring too. I noticed when its humid it curls up on its own and it looks nice half curled and half straight. I think you should check the background of these people and rethink your appt. if your in the nyc area i can refer you to my uncle who has expertise on style...

Bad hair!!?

well i have really thick, curly, poofy hair, and i used Herbal Essences, and it is really awesome stuff! it is actually the best shampoo/conditoner i have ever used!! hope this helped!

Hair Extentions?

Hair Extentions?

I want hair extentions of around 5 inches.

What would the average cost be?

What would I have to do to take care of them?

My hair is brown and Its VERY thick. and is about to my shoulders but not quite..

I want it to be straightened

I am asking because I dont want to walk into the hair salon and ask about it then walk out and not want it...

so dont tell me to talk to my hair dresser....

Hair Extentions?

5 inches is pretty short, not too sure if you would be able to find extensions like that, usually when someone gets extensions is is to extend their hair length.. Do you mean you want to add 5 inches? If so I would recommend buying a 14 inch maybe a little bigger, set... Depending on the material you can pay alot of a little. For a 22in 7 piece set you can probably pay a little under 100.00, that is for human hair. Synthetic will be alot less but it is not as good quality, it will not last as long and it cannot be straightened unless you buy it straightened.. For care of human extensions, you need to wash them with dry shampoo about once a week and keep them tangle free.

The best thing to do, is go into your local wig shop and find a set in the color and length you want them in. There you can buy everything you need. I would also recommend clip in rather than glue in or sew in as they are easier to take care of and last longer..

Hair Extentions?

i got hair extentions that are 22inches long...

and i use clip in hair extentions,

which i can take out and put in when i want.

and they are really easy to use and wash.

search on the internet for clip in hair extentons. Report It

Hair Extentions?

extensions are $60 an hour, and take about 6-8 hours. They can die any extensions to match your hair color and cut them to any length. They glue them strand by strand to your hair so they're just like regular hair and that you can do everything you normally do with your hair. They only last about 6 months though then you've gotta do it all over again...

A big hair questions?

So I have a sort of fat head lol. And my hair is extremely thick. But when I straighten it to control the friz, my hair doesnt have any volume or shape. So like Im growing my hair out to donate it in October. By then, my hair will be almost to my butt. So when I get 10 inches cut off, my hair will be like just at or below my shoulders. I almost want my hair with layers and I want it big. Almost like kiki kanibal. But I dont want the same style. So what should I tell my hair dresser?

A big hair questions?

Bring a picture of what you want!

Has anyone ever had long hair and then had to cut it for a reason??? Im tramatized and i hate my hai

Well, I'm a 23 year old female who has always had long hair and I loved it. A few months ago I got extensions in and when I had them taken out on saturday my real hair length was magically above my shoulders!!!!!!!!!

IM NOW TRAMATIZED!!!!!!!! I dont know how to do my hair and I feel like im soooo ugly now! Does anyone have any hair-do suggestions??? please help me if you can.

NOTE: my hair is a little bit longer than my jaw and passes the bottom of my ear slightly........... and I only got extensions to add fullness to my hair since its so thin, and my hair dresser used ceritean gluebonds for my extesions. Also she suiggested for me to put them back in my hair, and she sounded like she just wanted to be able to charge me more! Rather than look out what is good for me and my hair

: (

tea tear tear tear tear ........

Has anyone ever had long hair and then had to cut it for a reason??? Im tramatized and i hate my hair now!?

YEP

From half way down my back to all gone - in one go.

Mainly because of changing to a job that meant early starts so no time to shower in morning with long hair ..... but also from going bald.

And the day I did it ................. I went to see ACDC, boy were my mates shocked.

Has anyone ever had long hair and then had to cut it for a reason??? Im tramatized and i hate my hair now!?

Be thankful you don't have cancer, you would be bald.

Has anyone ever had long hair and then had to cut it for a reason??? Im tramatized and i hate my hair now!?

I used to have long hair until one of my former band members shaved my head after a bet. Ever since, my hair won't grow out right, so I just keep it short (hey, it worked for Metallica!)...

Has anyone ever had long hair and then had to cut it for a reason??? Im tramatized and i hate my hair now!?

If your hair was really thin to begin with that usually looks not good with long hair anyway so maybe she did you a huge favor. Try putting layers in it and embrace it. There is nothing you can do about it at this point, so make the best of what you have. I would definatly go to a new stylist. Ask the person what would look good on you and actually interview them for the job. How long have they been cutting hair?, Do they keep up to date with classes and seminars? How many regulars do they have? What are the ages of most of there clients? All these questions are very important. Good Luck, and Im sure you look great, it will just take time to get used to!

Has anyone ever had long hair and then had to cut it for a reason??? Im tramatized and i hate my hair now!?

u should let your natural hair show. its better that way than god knows when that extension might accidentaly fall off. anyways theres plenty of short hair fashion that u could put up with ur new hairstyle. i know because i had short hair before, really short, and i was afraid to go to school, but hey i looked up some solutions.

this has got to help, its jus up to u to do it :)

Has anyone ever had long hair and then had to cut it for a reason??? Im tramatized and i hate my hair now!?

I had my hair 6 inches above my hips and i just got it cut

2 days ago. Now it is 1 in below my shoulder. I got it cut

because I have really thick hair and it gets really puffy so

i cut it, but then I found out that the shorter I cut it the puffier!

So i have to put on this hair lotion stuff and try to straighten

my hair so it won't be puffy.

You'll be fine, it will grow. :p At first it will be weird, but then

you realize that you don't have to spend as much time

brushing the 7 miles of hair. :p

Has anyone ever had long hair and then had to cut it for a reason??? Im tramatized and i hate my hair now!?

Not me myself, but my girlfriend, she had long hair but after a while decided she wanted to stand out. She had it cut to about 4 inches long and then spiked it outwards a little, it looked really cool. Short hair is definitely no bad thing so don't worry about it, just chill out and enjoy the new style for a little while. It's not going to last forever.

Has anyone ever had long hair and then had to cut it for a reason??? Im tramatized and i hate my hair now!?

Change is good. If you always wear your hair long, then having it a bit shorter would be a nice change. Its only hair, and it will grow back!

Has anyone ever had long hair and then had to cut it for a reason??? Im tramatized and i hate my hair now!?

Well first I would change hair dressers. The new one might be able to help out with a cute style, and your current dresser doesn't sound to sympathetic. now without knowing if you have curly hair or not, shape of your face and things like that I cannot suggest a way to wear, but trust me long hair is over rated, I keep mine shoulder length and I can do everything long hair people do to their hair (pony tails, french twists, etc) without all the bulk of long hair, I am cooler in the summer and when winter comes I have enough to keep me warm. up keep on my hair is cheaper than it was when it was long, I use less shampoo, it brushes out easier, and it dries quicker. I know your use to your hair being one way but you might find you like this way better. As for a style, try going to Barnes and noble or any other bookstore that sells magazines and look for the hair magazines, find something you like and take it to your new hair dresser. Most hair dressers can do a style and cut just by the pic

Has anyone ever had long hair and then had to cut it for a reason??? Im tramatized and i hate my hair now!?

wow, sounds like your hairdresser either messed up or wasn't upfront with you in the beginning that a glue bond means shorter hair once they come out.

Go for a layered coif cut - it's still soft and feminine (like long hair) and makes the grow-out much easier.

Plus you can tassle it to look a bit wavy and unkempt (like a roll-out-of-bed surfer)

or straighten it (and shine it) for an elegant, formal do.

Then, later, when it gets a little longer, the adorable 'short' ponytail:

I'm sorry about your bad hair experience! that's so frustrating! But don't worry - your hair will grow back, and there are a lot of really cute things you can do with shorter hair. :)

Good luck!

Hair extensions question?

i know nothing about hair extensions and wanted a natural looking long lasting extensions which i heard were sew in? well i was wondering if i bought my own packs of hair from sallys beauty and got a hair dresser to dye them how many packs should i buy. i want hair extensions to lengthen my hair. also the brand is sassys i think. any suggestions on any other good brands as well?

Hair extensions question?

i have hair extensions

although, i got them weaved in.

i probablly wouldn't buy them online cos they might be really sh**

plus you would probably need a lot of packets

but if you want it naturally you should just let your hairdresser pick out your hair and get them weaved in (not glue, it ruins your hair)

i got mine for cheap because i shopped around

most hairdressers make you pay between 400-900$$ for long hair extensions

i only paid 220$ :D so it helps to look around.

and your hairdresser will help you with the colouring and length.

Madusa hair..?

i really need to do something with this mess, i will explain.

i havent worn my hair down in basically 3 years, ever.

well except when i went to the hair dresser and she straightened it nice for me.

My hair is SUPER SUPER thick, curly AND wavy!

its realy embarassing actually, i let it down the other night after a shower just to see how my natural hair looks, and i pretty much looked like a lion lol. My hair is a bit past my shoulders.

i was thinking ..if i got a good flat iron, and maybe some straight extensions..would it weigh down my hair?

how would that look?

Madusa hair..?

You could try the Loreal Extenso treatment. My friend has similar hair type like you, she went in for Extenso and now her hair looks long, straight and shiny. She has a round face so it also lengthens her frame giving her a slimmer look. She has her hair retouched once in 6 months. So consider Extenso. Good Luck!

Madusa hair..?

extensions will not help.

a good iron and a smoothing cream should

Madusa hair..?

dont get a flat iron, thats just going to fry your hair, and you will have to have it a straight style, if you got it chemically relaxed, it would still be curly, but it would be managable

Difficulties with hair?

I have difficulties doing my hair and it has alway been fustrating to do. I go to a hair dresser once a month and the only thing they can really do is a washing set. I am a Black Chippewa(native american) and my beautician can only do Black hairstyles so my hairstyles usually falls from 5 minutes to a day and I don't know what hair products to use.

Here is how my hair looks:

http://celebrity.hairresources.net/yamam...

What hairstyles/hair products are right for my hair?

Difficulties with hair?

Honey you have Asian hair. This type of hair is very thick which means that unless you have special hair products for Asian hair it will never last. Asians have a bigger hair shaft, which means that in order to alter the change of the hair, such as a perm for curly hair, you have to find the right ingredients. Your statement about you hairdresser tells me that he/she really does not know hair at all. Keep searching.

Difficulties with hair?

if your hair is straight, tell them to roller set it.

Difficulties with hair?

I think that's pretty!

Am i pretty?

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?...

Difficulties with hair?

Your hair is wonderful!!!

I would give anything to have hair like yours

lol

Difficulties with hair?

it looks good to me well just slik it in a slick *** ponytail it will probably look the **** ur hair is nice.

Difficulties with hair?

You have straight hair - - the choices are: a pony tail since it's long - - if you cut it, you might have other choices for a style...you also could get a perm and have curly hair, or a body perm so you'd have more body in your hair. What kind of style do you wish you had?

Maybe you need to change hairdressers.

Hair growing question - PLEAS EHELP!?

i would love to have long hair but my hair doesnt seem to grow.

i heard some one say that VO5 shampoo and conditioners make your hair grow faster, but is this true?

and i know protein is ment to be good for your hair, so if i ate lots of food high in protein, will my hair grow faster?

also, my hair dresser told me that if i get my ends trimmed every 6-8 weeks, my hair will grow faster. is this true?

PLEASE HELP ME - IM SOOO CONFUSED!

Hair growing question - PLEAS EHELP!?

well cutting of dead ends can help cos it allows your hair to grow healthy and eating good food that are rich in protien like fruit and veg are also good. but i would also recomend not using the vo5 shampoo etc but letting your hair get very very greese this is because your hair can then repair any damage and grow with its natral sources. instead of hair products. hope this was helpfull. gd luck xx

Hair growing question - PLEAS EHELP!?

im not sure about that but i do know that horse shampoo works really well...

my best friend did it (added perfum to the bottle) and in a month her hair grew a little more than five inches!!!!!

Hair growing question - PLEAS EHELP!?

It is a fact that some people cannot grow their hair really long. They have a natural stop where their hair won't grow any longer. VO5 is not a professional product and has waxes and such that arent' good for your scalp.

There is a product called Nioxin that promotes clean skin (scalp) and hair. It will help your hair grow by making your scalp a good environment for growing hair. You can get it at a salon. You can also use Nioxin for your body.

Vitamins will help you grow hair. Protein, not necessarily. Nioxin has vitamins as well.

Your hair doesn't grow from the ends. Trimming it has no effect on your scalp, it just makes it look healthier. When you get a trim, ask them to "tip" it only. Your hair grows on average of 1/2" a month. Remember that when asking for trims. I'ma hairstylist and I've had education in this particualr realm. Good luck!

Hair growing question - PLEAS EHELP!?

I've also heard that horse shampoo helps. Never tried it personally, though. However, make sure that you eat well and take vitamin E. Vitamin E helps circulation and though it won't make your hair grow dramatically faster, it does aid in hair growth (and healthy hair).

Hair growing question - PLEAS EHELP!?

nexxus products have nettle in them, which when massaged into your scalp can encourage hair growth.

there are certain vitamins that can also help your hair grow. vitamin b contains the essential protiens that help hair growth, and there's actually a vitamin designed just for hair growth purposes called Utla Hair Plus. It works pretty well, only downside is they're huge horse pills to swallow.

Hair growing question - PLEAS EHELP!?

Cutting your ends regularly and eating protein rich food are good for your hair ,not sure about the shampoo you can try lavender oil. Lavender oil has been shown to increase hair growth so massage the oil once a week and soak for 30 minutes before washing. Try http://solutionsforhairgrowth.blogspot.c... for more details.

Black Hair Question: Is it safer to texturize or relax my texturized hair?

I'm wearing my hair curly now, but have set up an appointment with my hair dresser this Wednesday for a Kelis cut: http://www.virginmedia.com/microsites/si...

This obviously calls for straight hair and since I have to cut it anyhow, I figure I should relax it, right? I keep hearing that I shouldn't relax my hair since it IS texturized [last month]. Is it a good idea to try and straighten it with a strong texturizer? What are my options?

Black Hair Question: Is it safer to texturize or relax my texturized hair?

You just got it textured, so do not go for a straight do for a while. When the texturizer isn't so fresh, it might be better. I did get my hair straightened when I had a texturizer, but the nature of my hair ruined both styles so I think I'll just go natural for the rest of my life.

Black Hair Question: Is it safer to texturize or relax my texturized hair?

wow..i have that same exact cut lol!!! i got my hair dresser to do it too :DDD...you have to relax it hun but she has to cut the side off first (design optional) then relax it...but i recommend that you get the design after u relax it like 3 weeks after so it can grow out natural so she can cut it..because when she relaxes it and that stuff gets on ur freshly cut designed hair lol...it burns!!! lol..

but basically..jus get her to cut off the side first..then get it relaxed..then wait a few weeks to get a design :D

hope u enjoy ur cut its aWESoME!!

Black Hair Question: Is it safer to texturize or relax my texturized hair?

Apparently Caramel treatments can be used to straighten your hair and they can be used on any type of hair. The ingredients are all natural, so you won't have to worry very much about the chemical damage that relaxers will cause.

How do I care for relaxed hair?

I'm really confused. Is my hair *permanetly* relaxed?! i was looking questions up on here and people said you have to cut off your hair to get your natural hair back! Can I grow my hair while relaxed? it's seems to not be growing.

I also recently discovered that you're suppossed to WASH your hair while its relaxed. I never knew that! I've had my relaxed hair for almost 2 weeks now. Should I wash it with some kind of special shampoo? I usually wait 3 weeks then wash my hair and it goes back to it's original state.

Please answer my questions! I know NOTHING about hair care, and I don't have a personal hair dresser. My mom knows nothing about hair either(she wasn't born in the US). If you don't know what relaxed hair is, don't bother answering this please.

Thank you to those who reply! :)

How do I care for relaxed hair?

Why not just shave your head, that would be wicked

How do I care for relaxed hair?

You need to wash your hair when you get it relaxed... its just like having regular hair... except yours is smoother and straighter.

I would recommend using Pantene Pro-V Smooth and Sleek 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner. I think that is what its called. It works really well with relaxed hair!! I don't recommed shampoo that helps curl or straighten your hair... they don't work well with relaxed hair. Any shampoo that is just smooth and sleek or something like that... should work well.

NO!! you don't have to cut your hair off to get it back to normal. When you get your hair relaxed... it only lasts for about 3 months... usually.

But you need to wash your hair every other day or every 2 days... don't wash it everyday unless absolulty necessary.

I think I answered all your questions.... if you need any more help don't hesitate to e-mail me... lilmissfess92@yahoo.com

Good Luck!!!! :)

How do I care for relaxed hair?

you can wash your hair now. and yes you have to grow your hair out to get you natural hair back.

this link has alot of info

How do I care for relaxed hair?

If your hair is permanently relaxed, it should not wash out. The hair that grows in from the top of your hair is not relaxed and probably will have a much different texture. It is true that you would have to cut all your hair of to have totally natural hair, because there is no way to unrealax you hair, but most people just wait for a new head of hair to grow in.

As for caring for your relaxed hair, you definetly want to wash your hair, but no more then every other day. This is because relaxing treatments are VERY drying. I reecommend using a mostuizing shampoo and conditiner and also using a leave in comditiner once a week. Or you can just put regular conditiner on your hair, wrap it in plastic wrap, and blow it with the hairdryer for a while. ( insted of a leave in). You also need to be very carefull when using heat tools on you hair ( hair straighners, curling irons, blow dryers) because your hair is already dried out. I reccomend using a heat protectant. ( i like avedas product- forget exactly what its called.)

You cannot dye relaxed hair because your hair will litereally like burn off your head.

PS. Your hair is probably gorwing, you just think its not because the ends are breaking. Once again, this is from the drying effects of the relaxing treatment.

Good Luck =]

How do I care for relaxed hair?

I have been getting my hair relaxed for 12 years and it is a pain. My hair has never been the same since the first time i did it in 6th grade. I tend to wash my hair at most every other day otherwise it dries out and it gets skuzzy looking. As far as a special shampoo, im not sure. I just use my regular shampoo but im sure you could find something that could maybe stretch out the relaxer longer, im not sure. And my hair doesnt seem like it grows for awhile after i get it relaxed. In fact my stylist told me six months after i had it done she could still see the same cut she did and it was exactly the same as it was when she cut it. The only difference was my ends were all jacked up form my flat iron LOL. And it depends on what kind of relaxer they used when they did it as far as if its permanet.

I dont know im not a hair professional or ne thing i just know what i go through. I hope you find your answers!!!

How do I care for relaxed hair?

the hair u have already relaxed is permanant. Ur hair will still grow n then u will have to relax the new growth. DONT RELAX UR WHOLE HEAD AGAIN!! It'll make it split. U can grow ur hair bac natural, but u will probably have to cut off all of the relaxed hair, n it may not grow bac the way it was first. I wash my hair every week and a half, but u shud wash it when u feel like it needs washing, but not more than once a week. Make sure u DEEP CONDITION it. I leave my conditioner in for hours and use a shower cap (jus to be safe) U shud get conditioners w/ glycerin in them ( to lock in moisture ) N keratin (to protect and rebuild ur hair shaft). u shud also get a leave in conditioner w/ the same things.Make sure u keep ur hair "wrapped" @ nite...get a satin or silk wrap cap n a satin or silk scarf, make sure ithey feel silky n arent coarse, b/c that will break off ur hair. U shud get ur ends trimmed about every 6 weeks, n only perm ur new growth about every month and a half to two months (depending on how fast ur hair grows) try not to overlap ur perms b/c that can cause breakage too. N if u have any other questions, jus ask :)

How do I care for relaxed hair?

1, you have to keep your hair moisturized, relaxers tend to rough up the strands and dry it out... I use aloe gel mixed with water and a bit of oil for my ends and water based oil lotions.

2. you have to keep the scalp clean, shampoo at least 1x a week, and every other day just use a moisturizing rinse out conditioner.

3. Condition it, you'll need three types of conditioners to use on alternating days. One is a protein reconstructor for 2x a month, another is a deep for once a week, and the third is a moisturizing one for every other day.

Your hair grows with a perm, you'll start to see new growth within another two weeks.

Read a few hair care magazines, look up a few websites on how to style it in a wrap so that it won't revert to its curlier state.

The shampoo you will need is a gentle conditioning shampoo, I use Creme of Nature or Paves, I love both.

best of luck

Poofy hair?

ok it all started off with my poofy hair, i tried all kinds of conditioner and shampoo's like dove. Its kina helps but then my hair gets poofy....

What can i do to get my hair striaghtend with out a flat iron?

this is a pic of me with my hair all striaghtend and just got it done:

http://s256.photobucket.com/albums/hh190...

my hair dresser said to use redken but my mom said trie to use dove triend its ok but still my hair gets poofy..

what can i do(i dont want to put it up everyday)

i mean i left it down before....but om in 8th grade and you know how kids can be, plus i have to do partner dancing tomorrow(all 8th graders) and i dont want boys to think how ugly or anything.....so plz help!

thanx

Poofy hair?

I'm in the exact same position- poofy hair, 8th grade (and we're doing dance tomorrow =P) but, there's not much you can do to help your hair with out a straightener. What you can do is use sunsilk anti-poof products. I've noticed that it significantly reduces the poof- but again, it's not straight.

Problems with my hair?!! helpp!?

So about a week ago, I went to a hair dresser to get my hair cut and they mentioned how bad my hair was doing (a lot of split ends, dry and not enough 'volume') and so they put about 5 different things in my hair, I got all my split ends off, there's more volume in it but I can't figure out why it's so hard to brush, when it's wet and when it's dry. And I'm loosing sooo much hair! and when I dry my hair the area of hair by my bangs, including my bangs, gets all frizzy and it's almost impossible to brush. They gave me clarifier and told me it will help make my hair keep it's natural color and build it up more sense I'm a swimmer and chlorine makes it weak, do you think the clarifier is the problem? She mentioned I should use it 5 washes and then whenever i think i need it.

Problems with my hair?!! helpp!?

Chlorine definitely is bad for you hair. You should wear a bathing cap if you don't already.

As for your hair, refrain from blow drying in the winter that will make it frizzy no matter what.

Your hair is probably falling out a lot because of what she put in your hair, it makes it healthy and in order for it to become healthy it has to get rid of all the dead, dried and dull hair thats there.

As for brushing, start at the ends and work your way up. You should be using a comb and not a brush.

Problems with my hair?!! helpp!?

try some spray on detangler.

Problems with my hair?!! helpp!?

i bet its the chlorine thats wacking out your hair. the clarifier is probably a good thing, but i would say a good conditioner is more imporatant, expecially right before you swim. find a good hair mask and a leave-in conditioner. if the hair masks are too expensive, use organic coconut oil--its cheaper and works just as well. just leave it in for 30 minutes and then shampoo with the clarifier and end with your leave-in conditioner. good luck! :)

oh, and if your water in your house is "hard", think about getting a water softener. it helps!

Problems with my hair?!! helpp!?

the key to your problem is taking preventive measures to ensure your hair becomes healthier...

I highly recommend, conditioning your hair with a heavy conditioner and placing the swim cap over the conditioned hair prior to swimming...there is no way around it as the cleaning agents in the chlorine are stripping your hair of it's natural oils..also when you get out of the pool and are done with your routine, get to the nearest shower to remove the chemicals from your hair, try not to wait to get home to shower, by that time your hair will be dry and not help your situtation...you should also consider getting a good trim every 4 to 6 weeks to start cutting away the damaged hair, (or opt to cut your hair short for easier maintenance)...another idea is to do treatments at home; apply Mayonaisse all over your hair and cover with aluminum foil leave on for 30 minutes, then wash and condition as usual..if the Mayo idea is too much for you, go to your nearest beauty supply and purchase a cholesterol based product and follow the same steps as the mayo....whatever you decide to do protecting your hair, is the only way....

I swam all through High School and became educated the hard way...don't worry before you know it your hair will be back to normal..best of luck!

Don't do it yourself because it will probably end up worse then when your mom did it....which didn't look bad AT ALL!!!!!!!! And I like your hair curly like that. You should wear it to school like that one day! =]

Highlighting my hair hot pink? help?

My advice - don't do it yourself.

Highlighting my hair hot pink? help?

i say keep the top the original color and add the pink underneath if u dont like it u can always change it back...think of Jess from Rock of Love from the show on VH1

Highlighting my hair hot pink? help?

I'm sure you can wait to have your cousin put the dye in. It's better than putting it in yourself.

My hair is black and when I put colored dye in it it doesn't take. How can I get my color to sh

I have went to the hair dresser to get a perm n every once n awhile I would let her put a semi-permanent dye on top of my perm because it takes better. My color will never turn out 2 be the color that the dye is, but it shows kinda in the light. I'm a African-American female and I am wondering what I can do 2 get my color to show up n my hair. I kno that bleaching my hair is out of the question because I have a perm n I looked up bleaching permed hair n the websites say that u shouldn't bleach permed hair.

My hair is black and when I put colored dye in it it doesn't take. How can I get my color to show on my hair?

get a wig

My hair is black and when I put colored dye in it it doesn't take. How can I get my color to show on my hair?

you could dye parts of you hair blonde (not bleach) and then put the color over it you might have to dye it blonde more then once

My hair is black and when I put colored dye in it it doesn't take. How can I get my color to show on my hair?

You have to get it colored a few different times. Since your color is so dark, the dye won't really make a difference in the beginning, try going a lighter shade then you would and go in at least until you start to notice a change (which should be 3 or 4 dyes.)

My hair is black and when I put colored dye in it it doesn't take. How can I get my color to show on my hair?

i think thats the only way is to bleach it so that u can get the black out my boyfriend has jet black hair and like u he wanted it a different color. we tried everything finally we just had to bleach it out to get the color he wanted. but u can always try wigs or weave.

My hair is black and when I put colored dye in it it doesn't take. How can I get my color to show on my hair?

Black hair is VERY HARD to dye; I mean am Asian and my hair color is Jet Black. So to start out, dye your hair with some "brown color" like Hazel Nut Brown, Golden Brown, Chocolate Brown, ect.. Then once your hair excepting the bleachin fomuler, go all at it with Blones and Reds. It may take you a couple time of dyeing it before your color turn out the way you like.

My hair is black and when I put colored dye in it it doesn't take. How can I get my color to show on my hair?

nothings gonna come out right if you still have dye in it from before if you dyed it not too long ago (if you did). You might just have to wait awile for your hair to grow out of the perm and then get it bleached cause bleachin and permed hair don't go well as far as I've herd so don't do anything to hurt your hair I bet you have beautiful hair that just got permed so don't worry about being so quick to dye it.

My hair is black and when I put colored dye in it it doesn't take. How can I get my color to show on my hair?

If you're hair is dyed black, you won't be able to just dye it a lighter colour because the hair won't accept it. If this is the case, you need to strip the darker dye out and they dye it lighter. If it's not and your hair is naturally black, you'll just have to dye it a slighter colour again and again until you get it the colour that you're happy with. If you're in doubt, just drop into a salon and ask a hairdresser, they're the experts anyway. Good luck

My hair is black and when I put colored dye in it it doesn't take. How can I get my color to show on my hair?

my suggestion is get extensions i tried it also when my hair was jet black and nothing would stick to my hair i tried pink, blue, green, and etc.... but the only thing that actually worked was extensions

good luck finding your solution let me know what works

My hair is black and when I put colored dye in it it doesn't take. How can I get my color to show on my hair?

Black is very hard to dye. Well, If I were you I would only do maybe High Lights. Because sicne you probably have to style it all the time you will have to contantly dye it and it will do much damage.

Just got hair dyed to a blondish brown color?

Okay I went to my hair dresser yesterday and I wanted my hair highlighted. So she suggested a blondish color so I agreed.

So now my hair is like blondish light brown with blonde highlights.

But now I dont know how to care for this color hair. I've never had hair this color before or this light. Is there certain shampoo and conditioner that i should use. Also is it okay to wash my hair since I got it done yesterday? She bleached and toned my hair.

Also if it is important my hair used to be medium brown kind of like a darker brown, it wasnt black though.

Just got hair dyed to a blondish brown color?

well if you want to keep your highlights blonde you should use john frieda sheer blonde shampoo and conditioner %26amp;%26amp; yes you can wash your hair it will not harm it. just be careful when you go in a pool because the chlorine will turn the blonde green.

Just got hair dyed to a blondish brown color?

It is fine to wash your hair! If she just used a highlighting system you can use any shampoo you want. If she used color you need to you color treated shampoo so it will not fade as fast.

Faster hair growth?

In my opinion, the hair to be grow is not that very quick.it takes a little bit of time.Because for me as example, when i cut my hair today in a month also it grows at least a inch.and for that b-4 i go to bed at night i use to brush for at least 1-2 hours.it helps a lot,as i had read to your question ?we had a similar problem.i had very long hair till my waist line, then when i went to the party,i saw girl with a very nice hair ,they call it layer style, then the next day i made an appointment to copy that style, and she didn't done a good job,it took about a year for me again to grow it back where it was b-4. hope you like my answere!!!!

How are you graduating with such horrible grammar?

you can always try hair extensions if nothing else works.

Hair products to help curly hair staight??

I just cut off about 10 inches of hair. and my hair is above my shoulders for probably the last 14 years I have been able just to throw it in a ponytail. My hair is really curly but my hair dresser straightened it and now I need to know what kind of products I should be using?? I know I need a hair serum. But what is the best drug store brand you can get

Hair products to help curly hair staight??

Remington slim wet2straight Straightener is really really fantastic. I use it, and it replaces blow drying and helps styling. There's 30 heat settings and a hair guide so you can straighten your hair while it's still wet, and it has steam sensors so it won't damage your hair. Takes about 10-15 mins for you length hair. If not, just get some bain de terre all day straight gel, or aquage products for straighteneing. Best of Luck!

Hair products to help curly hair staight??

I too have curly hair, really really curly hair. When ever I get it straighted i use John Freeda Collection serum. It works amazing. You can also use this when your hair is curly. When getting out of the shower put two or three pumps into your hair and work it through, put it in a bun, and go to sleep with it. When you wake it, it looks AMAZING. so its like a 2 for 1 special!!!

Good luck

Hair products to help curly hair staight??

i have SUPER curly hair.

if i dont brush it alot i look like shirley temple.

so what i do is use.....

*shampoo and conditioner--garnier fructis sleek and shine

*right out of the shower--studio heat seeker straightening cream by loreal.

*straightener--im not sure what its called. but i got it at walmart for cheap...$24 i think. its from conair and its black. it should say that it has "high alpha heat" on the little plastic thing it comes in.

I'm losing my hair everyday. Please help me!!!?

I'm a 30yr old, black female with normal black people fuzzy hair. I'd been to salons and done my hair in spiral curls several times but never had the problem of hair breakage. Now each time I wash my hair I always get a handful of hair in the bathroom and then after towel-drying my hair I comb it and still get a handful of hair. I had very thick, long hair but now it's so thin it's not normal for a Pacific Islander like me cos we have very long and very thick hair. What should I do? I've tried our natural oil (fresh coconut) to get my hair back to normal but that didn't help. The hair dresser told me that since my hair has chemical in it, I can't go back to our natural oil. I have to continue using chemicals. But what can I do to stop the breakage/losing of hair? I desperately need help.

I'm losing my hair everyday. Please help me!!!?

"The advertisements for treatment of balding, and hair loss in men can't be missed. These ads might lead one to believe that hair loss is generally a men's issue. However the fact is that as many as two-thirds of all women experience hair loss at some point." This is not an uncommon problem among young women. My niece was 24 when she started to experience hair loss. However, she also had very thick hair and this went on for a few months and gradually settled and the hair loss subsided.

"Experts say our tresses usually grow at the rate of about one-half inch per month -- with each hair having a growth phase of two to six years. At that point the hair "rests" for a period of time, then falls out -- and the follicle from which it sprang soon starts growing a new strand. And so the cycle continues, usually well into our senior years."

Go to your doctor it might be stress. oR for the worse Cancer

I'm losing my hair everyday. Please help me!!!?

Stop all the chemical treatments, shave it short, then let it grow out naturally.

I'm losing my hair everyday. Please help me!!!?

dont go to the same salon cut the hair as short as you can and then a hot oil treatment will help its been burned and over processed thats a thing the salon should have warned you about licensed beauty operator 1980

I'm losing my hair everyday. Please help me!!!?

get a really good anti breakage conditioner... your best bet would be to cut it short and get extensions until it gets healthy... also your stylist might be using a harsh chemical on ur hair 4 the perm... they might be leaving it in too long too..... you need to go to a good salon.... ask around when you see someone you like, ask where they get their hair done and what they use for treating.... hugs

I'm losing my hair everyday. Please help me!!!?

Im a 35 year old black male and about 2 years ago I started to loose hair right in the center of my head. It was from stress. I went to Walgreens and bought some MINOXIDIL in the spray bottles and it worked.I learned to chill out and I havent had that problem since. Its a little expensive but it works, youll start seeing the results in less than a week!

Have you ever asked a hair dresser to cut your hair an ich and they cut it like five?

This is why I am afraid of cutting my hair. I just need a trim but I am scared that they will cut it all off! Has something like that ever happend to you??

Have you ever asked a hair dresser to cut your hair an ich and they cut it like five?

I'm scared to cut my hair for that reason also - that is EXACTLY what happened to me the last time I asked for an inch off.

Have you ever asked a hair dresser to cut your hair an ich and they cut it like five?

YES! i know exactly how you feel!

they always cut more than asked for!

just tell them you want 2cm off or sth.

Have you ever asked a hair dresser to cut your hair an ich and they cut it like five?

Yup lots of times i find better results when i use my hands to tell hair how much i wanna cut off visual affect will actually let you hairdresser see instead of just guess

Have you ever asked a hair dresser to cut your hair an ich and they cut it like five?

yes.. i hate it..they want to do what they think will look good..but then they always give u a style you cant do..lol..now when i go i make sure they dont cut much off by watching them closely and me telling the stylist all the time..

Have you ever asked a hair dresser to cut your hair an ich and they cut it like five?

O YEA!!!! i have to sit there and dictate at the damn people b/c they dont listen. I thought it was only my hairstylist but i guess not!

Have you ever asked a hair dresser to cut your hair an ich and they cut it like five?

That's because you need to show the hair stylist exactly how you want it -visually-!

Hair stylists are visuals.

Have you ever asked a hair dresser to cut your hair an ich and they cut it like five?

Nope, not yet and I don't plan that it will either. : )

Anyways, tips on getting your hair cut, don't cross your legs is screws up your posture, be realistic, bring pictures, show how much you want cut off with your hand.

You could always get a friend or a family member to trim your hair for you, since your not actually getting your hair cut into a different style, any who, hairdressers may cut your hair shorter so it grows out, but if you're trying to grow your hair long or keep it long tell that to the hairdresser it makes all the difference. Hopes this helps and good luck with you trim.

Have you ever asked a hair dresser to cut your hair an ich and they cut it like five?

Yep.. have had that experience when I was around 17. Ended up with what looked like a crew cut to me!

Have had prolly 4 "Pro" cuts since then. I'm 56 and trim my own hair by myself.

Just trim the split ends, cut bangs if you want to (If they don't look good, they'll grow back in)\

Have you ever asked a hair dresser to cut your hair an ich and they cut it like five?

Yes, it has..

Point to exactly where you want to cut it! I remember reading that from somewhere.

Have you ever asked a hair dresser to cut your hair an ich and they cut it like five?

yes my hair was past my butt then i said four inches and they cutit to my shoulders i was pissed so just say

2 instead of 4

1 instead of 2

1/2 instead of 1

etc.

Have you ever asked a hair dresser to cut your hair an ich and they cut it like five?

yeaa ! when i was little i remember my aunt said to the hair dresser "dont cut it short too much or else she'll cry" and then the person ended up cutting off so much! i was so sad and regretted gettin gmy hair cut

I dyed my hair too many times and now it is breaking apart?

hi last week i went to the hair dresser and she totally messed up on my hair so today i went to another one and they "fixed" it for me just to leave me looking like i have all white hair. i was so embarassed i ran to the store and bought some dark hair dye. now combing my hair ALOT of hair is breaking off and when i grab that wad of hair and pull it apart it is so easy to break and it doesnt even feel like hair anymore. can anyone help me with something to strengtehn my hair back again PLease?

I dyed my hair too many times and now it is breaking apart?

Eeek. My class briefly talked about this happening, in Chemistry the other day.

Basically, the peroxide would have seriously damaged your hair (as you would have already known).

But there are ways to try and strengthen your hair again, except time is definitely a factor. It's not going to happen over night, so you'll have to put effort into keeping a healthy hair regime, and stay away from dyes for a long time.

That being said; oil treatments and damage control is the way to go!

VO5 Hot Oil Treatments are one of the best, in my opinion. There are many different types, including some new shampoo and conditioner strands in the deep damage control sector of the brand.

So just take a trip to the supermarket and invest in a decent amount of hot oil treatments, and some other heavy duty hair damage control products. :]

I dyed my hair too many times and now it is breaking apart?

conditioner it real well and stop coloring it have some of the dead ends cut off.

I dyed my hair too many times and now it is breaking apart?

I've had the same problem before...unfortunately that amount of damage is not really reverseable. All you can do now is be extra gentle, use lots of leave-in conditioner, and don't brush it while it's wet. I ended up with half a mohawk because of all the hair that broke off - hopefully yours won't be as bad, but don't worry even if it is. I actually found some new ways to do my hair as I was trying to cover it up, and it grew out pretty quickly.

I dyed my hair too many times and now it is breaking apart?

you can try having a Kerastase閳ユ獨 Vitaciment Treatment. i've read this on an article on the net. i've included a site for you in my source.

I dyed my hair too many times and now it is breaking apart?

your hair is lacking protein now, as our hair is made up of protein initially, you will have to go buy a protein treament, i will suggest for you a great treatment its by loreal, its in a green tub, its a lil pricey but it works superb and will stop u from all the worrying after a couple of gos. this will strenthen your hair. so for the first week i would do nothing but protein treatment, then at night before u go to bed, id buy some jo joba oil to condition also as too much protein can make ur hair to strong, apply it all over the hair this will condition it it is also the closest thing to the oil our scalp produces to keep our hair soft and strong. do the protein treatments for a week it will get rid of the jelly feel of ur hair,: wash ur hair with a nice conditioning shampoo, towel dry it then apply the loreal AGE RECHARGE protein treatment. it works very well it will put structure back into the hair shaft. there are also leave in protein treaments u can put in before ublow dry it off just for peace of mind also, id do both. id also keep your hair dark for atleast 6 months, DO NOT chop it off!!!! jus see how it all goes with the treatments first in 6 months time, after that u can start with some highlights again if u prefer lighter hair.xoxox

I dyed my hair too many times and now it is breaking apart?

whoa. that's bad. i'd say lay off the coloring for a while. let your hair rest and recuperate. umm..... take vitamins? lol. idk.

I dyed my hair too many times and now it is breaking apart?

I once went in to a salon to die my hair a darker brown, it turned black...it took them 4 times to color my hair to the color I wanted..

it was terrible, my hair was messed up for months and months.

as soon as this happened, a mircale was given to me by my friend, I have passed on this info, as it shouldn't be kept a secret.

this will help rebuild your hair, and get it back to healthy...

everytime I do it, it feels like baby's hair, my friends and I starting call this hair crack cause it's the best.

do this absolutely!

Here you go! I have already gotten like a million best answers for this, and my friends call this hair crack. So, don't pass this up!

FOR THICK AND THIN HAIR

1. Warm up some olive oil in the microwave (not too hot, luke warm, and the purer the olive oil the better.)

2. Apply it all over your hair. Apply it to dry hair. Especially pay attention to the ends.

3. Wrap your hair with plastic wrap. (This is because it does get a little drippy sometimes).

4. Place a towel around your neck. (Same reason as above.)

5. Leave in for an hour.

6. Shampoo and condition it out. (Make sure not to slip in the shower, that stuff is slippery.

THIS IS FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE THIN HAIR

Use coconut oil, and do the same as above. (It's not as drippy as olive oil though.) Coconut oil isn't really great for people with thick hair. It tends to make thick hair a little tangled and little greasy. So people with thin hair only!

Do this either once a week or every other week.

I have gotten so many people hooked on this, it should be illegal.

Definetly do this and tell me how it works!
