Talliemay, Does your hair dresser say if the iron in these prenatal vitamins alot for the body?

Maybe a short term won't hurt. What do you think?

Talliemay, Does your hair dresser say if the iron in these prenatal vitamins alot for the body?

My hair dresser also told me that prenatal vitamins will help your hair (and nails) grow. My sister has been taking them and it seems to have helped.

Talliemay, Does your hair dresser say if the iron in these prenatal vitamins alot for the body?

I'm not really sure what your asking but prenatal's are great for the skin and hair, you can get low doses of Iron Supplements or you can take a prenatal which is a great source for Folic Acid

I want audrinas hair style!!?

I want to get my hair cut like audrinas on the hills, I love her hair. I know she has layeres but is that it? I know when she wears her hair up she has like these bangs things but i dont know if its intentinally long cut bangs or just the layers cuz they like go to her chin... So are there any hair stylist out there who could tell me what to tell my hair dresser? Or does any1 have a really good pic of her hair?

Have you ever asked a hair dresser to cut your hair an ich and they cut it like five?

This is why I am afraid of cutting my hair. I just need a trim but I am scared that they will cut it all off! Has something like that ever happend to you??

Have you ever asked a hair dresser to cut your hair an ich and they cut it like five?

I'm scared to cut my hair for that reason also - that is EXACTLY what happened to me the last time I asked for an inch off.

Have you ever asked a hair dresser to cut your hair an ich and they cut it like five?

YES! i know exactly how you feel!

they always cut more than asked for!

just tell them you want 2cm off or sth.

Have you ever asked a hair dresser to cut your hair an ich and they cut it like five?

Yup lots of times i find better results when i use my hands to tell hair how much i wanna cut off visual affect will actually let you hairdresser see instead of just guess

Have you ever asked a hair dresser to cut your hair an ich and they cut it like five?

yes.. i hate it..they want to do what they think will look good..but then they always give u a style you cant do..lol..now when i go i make sure they dont cut much off by watching them closely and me telling the stylist all the time..

Have you ever asked a hair dresser to cut your hair an ich and they cut it like five?

O YEA!!!! i have to sit there and dictate at the damn people b/c they dont listen. I thought it was only my hairstylist but i guess not!

Have you ever asked a hair dresser to cut your hair an ich and they cut it like five?

That's because you need to show the hair stylist exactly how you want it -visually-!

Hair stylists are visuals.

Have you ever asked a hair dresser to cut your hair an ich and they cut it like five?

Nope, not yet and I don't plan that it will either. : )

Anyways, tips on getting your hair cut, don't cross your legs is screws up your posture, be realistic, bring pictures, show how much you want cut off with your hand.

You could always get a friend or a family member to trim your hair for you, since your not actually getting your hair cut into a different style, any who, hairdressers may cut your hair shorter so it grows out, but if you're trying to grow your hair long or keep it long tell that to the hairdresser it makes all the difference. Hopes this helps and good luck with you trim.

Have you ever asked a hair dresser to cut your hair an ich and they cut it like five?

Yep.. have had that experience when I was around 17. Ended up with what looked like a crew cut to me!

Have had prolly 4 "Pro" cuts since then. I'm 56 and trim my own hair by myself.

Just trim the split ends, cut bangs if you want to (If they don't look good, they'll grow back in)\

Have you ever asked a hair dresser to cut your hair an ich and they cut it like five?

Yes, it has..

Point to exactly where you want to cut it! I remember reading that from somewhere.

Have you ever asked a hair dresser to cut your hair an ich and they cut it like five?

yes my hair was past my butt then i said four inches and they cutit to my shoulders i was pissed so just say

2 instead of 4

1 instead of 2

1/2 instead of 1

etc.

Have you ever asked a hair dresser to cut your hair an ich and they cut it like five?

yeaa ! when i was little i remember my aunt said to the hair dresser "dont cut it short too much or else she'll cry" and then the person ended up cutting off so much! i was so sad and regretted gettin gmy hair cut

Should hair be kepted moist in summer months??

i am a black orgin women and was told by my hair dresser that even though i am not washin hair every day i should keep it damp and deeply moisterized, she told one way that was easy to do this was get in a warm shower but keep hair pinned up and let the damp steam and water droplets hit my hair till its just dampen then after gettin out of shower deeply moisterize it while its damp i can do this 3 times in between shampooin whice she shampoo my hair every 7 to 10 days so my question is this too much wettin of hair in between shampooing??..

Should hair be kepted moist in summer months??

Well girl, my thing is that because you black and our hair tends to dry out easily, I would not keep it damp everyday for moisture. The best thing to do is to keep it moisturized yes, but with a light oil. I know you've been to a walmart or a beauty supply store. Get some Hot 6 Oil %26amp; African Pride oil. Use a dime/nickel sized drop and just keep your hair nice and moistured. If you can keep your hair wrapped at night and use a satin wrap to keep your hair moisturized. That will help with the shine and from it being so dry looking.

HOpe it helps!

Should hair be kepted moist in summer months??

i don't know about the whole jumpin in the shower thing to keep it moisturized, but i would just use hair products to keep the moisture in it..don't let it get too dry, they have hair grease out there for african american hair that a lot of people use, or there are leave in conditioners that work too...thats just my suggestion

Should hair be kepted moist in summer months??

i think u should keep your hair moist everyday, because i didnt keep my hair moist and it got all dry and poofy.

Should hair be kepted moist in summer months??

yes i FELL LIKE THAT JUST KEEP YOUR HAIR MOIST BY CONDITIONING IT LIKE EVERY 2 DAYS BUT GET LEAVE IN CONDITIONER ! Y'LL BE STRAIGHT!

Grr i hate my hair.?

i have straight, darkish-brown, thin hair hand have no idea how i want it cut. my hair dresser is an a** and doesn't know how to layer it. mum already booked me in tomorrow and i begged her to un-book me. she says i still have to go -.-'. any idea's for a hair cut that even a retard like my hair dresser can cut?

Grr i hate my hair.?

I always have to bring in hairstyle magazines with me when I go. You need to change stylists if she isn't giving you what you want. Try bringing pictures of what you want in and show her in detail how you want it before she even washes your hair. If she isn't acting like she's paying attention or understanding, then ask if she can trade you off with another stylist.

Grr i hate my hair.?

Get a new hairdresser

Grr i hate my hair.?

Beatles are back!

Grr i hate my hair.?

she doesnt no how to layer it??

geez change hair dresses!

get a side frige and just layer it your self at home its easy enough

Grr i hate my hair.?

http://www.hairzingers.com/victoria-beck...

Grr i hate my hair.?

WOW... i would of said go with layers and side bangs but um usually a bob looks pretty damb cute with your kind of hair and to add a little flare or spice medium size side-bangs and u will be gorgeous

HELP ME My HAIR has BEEN WRECKED AT A HAIR DRESSER!!!!?

i went to get my hair cut it was about 2ice below my shoulder i askd for it to be layed abit more and on my left side only she has took a BIG chuck out of my hair its like a square box chuck and yoo can see my ear! it dnt even blend it with extensions and looks stupid with out them?? what can i do? im in the miss peterborough pagaent too and i need my hair ARRRGG

HELP ME My HAIR has BEEN WRECKED AT A HAIR DRESSER!!!!?

Go back and demand that they fix it. If you're scared take a loud mouth friend or parent. If they messed it up then they should fix it even if it means adding extensions which blend in with your natural hair. Kick up a fuss!!

HELP ME My HAIR has BEEN WRECKED AT A HAIR DRESSER!!!!?

get a wig

HELP ME My HAIR has BEEN WRECKED AT A HAIR DRESSER!!!!?

Okay, don't panic. Just go to a different salon and ask for their best beautician. Tell them exactly what you want them to do and explain your dillema, they'll know what to do. Good luck! =]

HELP ME My HAIR has BEEN WRECKED AT A HAIR DRESSER!!!!?

1st you should sue the hairdressers! Lol. But for the pagent could you put your hair up in a bun and clip the chunk back? Or what you could do is ask a diffrent hairdresser to try and even the style out. Aless xx

HELP ME My HAIR has BEEN WRECKED AT A HAIR DRESSER!!!!?

haha..i accidentally did that to my mom's hair.

You can actually go and get your money back or even a lawyer if you want to get something out of it for compensation.

I wouldn't have her cut your hair again, but someone will need to fix it. Get a better salon wiht talented stylists. It will most likely need to be cut if you don't wear extentions. .

HELP ME My HAIR has BEEN WRECKED AT A HAIR DRESSER!!!!?

you should have made a formal complaint at the hairdressers at the time it was cut, but we are not always that brave... ring the salon and speak with the manager or arrange a meeting.

express your concerns etc etc, if the salon value their reputation they will do their best to correct it FREE OF CHARGE.... if they do offer this, dont allow the same person to touch your hair... insist on the head stylist. (also mention the pagaent and the fact that if they rectify it they will get some free publicity as you tell others who does ur hair etc)

if the salon is unwilling to rectify the problem id take the matter higher, but in the mean time go see another salon and see if another stylist can make the disaster work for you (give you a better cut or style to try and make good of a bad job)

best wishes for the pagaent... fingers crossed you win x x

HELP ME My HAIR has BEEN WRECKED AT A HAIR DRESSER!!!!?

Go back scream and rant like a madwoman

they will soon sort your hair out or give you a refund.

HELP ME My HAIR has BEEN WRECKED AT A HAIR DRESSER!!!!?

Go back to the hairdressers and ask them what they are going to do to rectify there mistake but before you go get someone to take photo's of each side of your hair as evidence, if they are unprepared to help take them to the small claims court.

HELP ME My HAIR has BEEN WRECKED AT A HAIR DRESSER!!!!?

It is difficult to say what should be done without actually seeing your hair and knowing how your hair typically acts. From what you describe it seems that you have three options.

You can of course fill in the chunk area with a few hair extensions. They can be woven in, sewed in, or glued in. The biggest problem is matching the extensions to your hair color. Some coloring is usually required to pull this off.

Alternately, a small hairpiece can be created to fill he area. It is really nothing more than some extensions tied to a bobby pin and you put the pins wherever you need to fill. Color will again be a problem in most cases.

Lastly, you can always get a great new hairstyle that blends the missing hair away. So obviously it will be a much shorter style than you currently have, but that does not mean that it won't look great on you. Of course you will need a really great hairstylist to pull it all together.

HELP ME My HAIR has BEEN WRECKED AT A HAIR DRESSER!!!!?

have it cut again really short and spikey on one side and long on the other its a real cool mines cut like that use wax on the spikey side

HELP ME My HAIR has BEEN WRECKED AT A HAIR DRESSER!!!!?

do not go back to get extensions cuz if they cant even layer hair they might swrew up agin. instead go to a different salon . don't panick . :)

HELP ME My HAIR has BEEN WRECKED AT A HAIR DRESSER!!!!?

Hi, I know how you feel, its has happend to me loads of times. I would go back and you can commplain and say you want it fixing. But they might still charge you as you have left the shop now. You might have to get hair extensions added on the bit they but too short.

HELP ME My HAIR has BEEN WRECKED AT A HAIR DRESSER!!!!?

go back to the salon and demand they sort it out for free and get back the money you've already paid

HELP ME My HAIR has BEEN WRECKED AT A HAIR DRESSER!!!!?

A clean shave would give you a stunning appearance and really make you stand out.

By the way, I had a great-grandmother from Peterborough.

HELP ME My HAIR has BEEN WRECKED AT A HAIR DRESSER!!!!?

if that happened recently,go back and demand a refund (go when the salon is full, as the owner won't want a scene) then go to a reputable place for a good cut. Not much else you can do until your hair grows back.

HELP ME My HAIR has BEEN WRECKED AT A HAIR DRESSER!!!!?

all i would do really is just stick to hair extensions as thats the only way your gonna get your hair back for the time being just keep having them in while your hair grows back and have them blended in at a hairdresser just not the one you went to last time

HELP ME My HAIR has BEEN WRECKED AT A HAIR DRESSER!!!!?

Sue the hairdresser.

HELP ME My HAIR has BEEN WRECKED AT A HAIR DRESSER!!!!?

You need to make a formal complaint to the manage ASAP, as some salons have a time scale for complaints.

As for the correction, i would certainly suggest having extensions put in, it may be that you only need some applied for volume (to add thickness to the side that has been cut too short), rather than for length, but if you are going to pay for some anyway i'd see about having some extra length too.

Extensions work wonders for bad haircuts (IF applied and blended correctly by a professional).

Have a consultation at a salon, or contact a mobile hairdresser. Just make sure you ask for pictures of work/references etc.

Good Luck! And also with the pagaent! :-)

HELP ME My HAIR has BEEN WRECKED AT A HAIR DRESSER!!!!?

I would suggest that you complain and demand they put it right for you, was the stylist qualified etc

when you ask for layers its the same as feathering you should be able to see the scissor lines, not have chunks taken out of it, I would suggest when they compensate you and they should , you should have it cut somewhat shorter and in a decent style, sounds like you could still manage a short bob or even go for a more wedge type style, the main thing is it is still you the person has not changed, it will grow back but sort out the idiot who did it for you, best of luck in Peterborough i used to live in oundle, forget extensions they damage your hair have it restyled professionally best wishes

Keep straight hair...?

I have really frizzy and curly hair. It is more frizzy than normal because I died it at home and then fried it with a straight iron. I had my friend who is a hair dresser take the alful color out and cut all my dead ends out. she gave me a cute cut but my hair is so frizzy I don't know what to do with it. I like my hair to be wavy or straight but I don't know how to without killing it. I have a really good straight iron but I don't know what I should use on my hair to protect it. I don't like to wear my hair curly because it looks like a big mess. What should I do and what should I use. Please help. i don't want to kill my hair again. Thank you

Keep straight hair...?

I you wanna use a straightenin iron then put heat protection spray on it or if not get it chemically straightened at your hair salon or you can buy a kit from boots.

Keep straight hair...?

got milk

Keep straight hair...?

Try Garnier Fructis sleek and shine or the one for curls. I think its the green one. Good Luck. I use both.

Keep straight hair...?

use a thermal iron protectant...loreal makes a good one and u can get it at sally's...then use ur flat iron

Keep straight hair...?

Again, I would go to Sally Beauty supply and go to the Ethnic section as they carry some wonderful anti-frizz products and conditioners. Stop fighting the curly look for a while and give your hair a break. The heat is just drying your hair out....sounds like you need some conditioning treatments.

I am a hair dresser looking for a nice hair salon in las vegas nevada, do you gays know any ?

This ranks up as one of the more offensive questions I've seen on Y!A.

I am a hair dresser looking for a nice hair salon in las vegas nevada, do you gays know any ?

fashion show mall maybe? or any in casino hotels on the strip would probably be nice.

I am a hair dresser looking for a nice hair salon in las vegas nevada, do you gays know any ?

Thanks for the stereotyping. I think your kind should just stop by a grooming parlour.

Chemical hair straightneing plz help???

i want to have my hair chemically straightened i have wavey hair en i have lots of split ends, this young hair dresser girl told me not to get it done cause i have split ends en it will break my hair ... so is this true en if i not pls tell me coz i want it done i am so sick of my hair?

Chemical hair straightneing plz help???

Yes thats true. Trim off your split ends immediatly before they get worser.

Chemical hair straightneing plz help???

I went to a place that mixed their own formula when I was age 10-15. The last time (@15) it was so strong and all my hair roots were damaged in the front by the bangs and the top of my head. My hair never ever grew back and I always look like I am trying to grow my bangs out! I would forget it if I were you. Ask your hair dresser to WRAP your hair instead! P.S. This was in the 1970's , So you can figure out how long I have waited..

Chemical hair straightneing plz help???

It is true that chemical straighteners can damage you hair if done wrong. First go to a hair dresser that is familiar with using chemical straighteners, and since you have "virgin" hair use a mild straightener. After the treatment make sure to continue to condition your hair on a regular basis once you start using straightening products you must keep it up and condition your hair. And yes you should have you split ends cut a couple weeks before the straightener is done.

Professional hair stylists ...?

Should a professional hairstylest be able to strip dark brown dyed hair to the regrowth color (blondish/verylight brown) if time and money is not a concern for the client ?

I origanallly wanted to get those neat highlights over the top layer of my hair the way the kids are doing it these days, but NOT so perfectly placed or chunky, but my regrowth is coming in and I don't really want to dye it dark any more and I figured a professional would be able to blend the three somehow (the regrowth, old dark hair, and new light highlights) To make a slow progression that eventually will work its way lighter and lighter "over years" to something more resembleing my natural color. This one hair dresser said it may look strange, and I said well then I should I strip my hair to my regrowth and then maybe do highlights, she said it would never be the same color as the regrowth and said I should just cut it, So is she just not confident in her own skills and I should keep looking or what?

Professional hair stylists ...?

There should be someone who can do that for you. You definitely don't have to cut it, but you definitely have to color it and highlight again. Just seek a different salon that doesn't say they have to cut it.

Professional hair stylists ...?

it will go back 3 level only, otherwise you will need bleach and color closest to your natural color and highlights you should be able to get what ever you want

A big hair questions?

So I have a sort of fat head lol. And my hair is extremely thick. But when I straighten it to control the friz, my hair doesnt have any volume or shape. So like Im growing my hair out to donate it in October. By then, my hair will be almost to my butt. So when I get 10 inches cut off, my hair will be like just at or below my shoulders. I almost want my hair with layers and I want it big. Almost like kiki kanibal. But I dont want the same style. So what should I tell my hair dresser?

A big hair questions?

Bring a picture of what you want!

My hair is shorter than i asked., so i need a new color?

I had 3 1/2 inch hair. And i went to the hair dresser today and asked for a trim..,, well long story short i now have 1 inch hair. so the original color scheme i had plnned for my hair si no-longer a good idea. My natural hair (which i have on right now) Is DARK blonde. Any ideas for a new color scheme??

My hair is shorter than i asked., so i need a new color?

Short hair grows faster than longer hair. I suggest waiting 2-3 weeks to let it grow a little, then color your hair as you had originally planned. You don't want to be stuck with the wrong color AND a bad haircut.

My hair won't take color! HELP!!! What do I do?

First I dyed the underneath of my red hair a dark burgundy color with semi-permanent hair dye. This lasted 2 days. I then had my mom, who is a hair dresser, apply permanent hair dye to my hair. This washed out in 5 days (I was using Redkein color extend shampoo and conditioner). I then had it professionally done and it did the same thing! HELP!!!

My hair won't take color! HELP!!! What do I do?

how long after getting your color do you wash it? I normally try to make it at least 2 or 3 days before washing it, and only wash it every other day to every third day.... and dont wash your hair the day before you get it colored either, greasier hair seems to hold color better. you may just have hair that is either too dead or too fine to hold color...

My hair won't take color! HELP!!! What do I do?

Red hair dye fades very quickly. You might try a shade of brown (something with gold undertones), as this might last longer and it will still give you the same effect.

My hair won't take color! HELP!!! What do I do?

if your hair is naturally dark in shade then you may have to bleach your hair first then apply hair color

Calling all HAIR DRESSERS!!!?

iv heard that putting plant food on your hair makes it grow? do you reckon this is true? i really desperatly want long hair!! do you reckon it is safe??

Calling all HAIR DRESSERS!!!?

You should take vitamins. Stuff for plants is toxic to humans. Oral vitamns will work wonders! I took them and my hair grew like a weed

Calling all HAIR DRESSERS!!!?

NO that's not safe! It's a chemical, it could make you really sick. Just get extensions or let your hair grow out. Try prenatal vitamins, it will help your hair grow faster.

Calling all HAIR DRESSERS!!!?

If you desperately want long hair, get some extensions. If you have the money, there are really good ones out there. If not, I agree with the others, use vitamins, not Miracle Gro.

How do I get thicker hair?

my hair use to be really thick and naturally wavy, it was was really pretty... but I did something reallyy stupid... I dyed it black! :(

I was 12 years old, and It was the first time I dyed my hair....the damn hair dresser told my mom it wasnt perminent...We didnt know anything about black hair dye so we believed him.. So when my natural hair started growing out I had to strip the black out.. MAJOR DAMAGE WAS DONE, so I had to go through a lot of chemicals to make it atleast soft again! and had to dye it brown again... and now my hair is really thin and..ugh.

Well now I want bangs but my hair is to thin it would look weird.... Is there any pill, food, vietimin...ANYTHING that I could do to make my hair grow out thicker?

And is there any way I can make my hair grow a little faster?....

How do I get thicker hair?

I didn't use any pills or anything to make mine thick again. I just washed it frequently (and kept getting it trimmed every two weeks) And kept my scalp oiled. Hope it works for you like it did for me.

How do I get thicker hair?

put egg in ur hair cuz it will get protein

How do I get thicker hair?

Sounds like you had some really bad damage. You need to really use good conditioners. The ones that say reconstructor or protein. And you need to get the ones that say moisturizing. Get layers, and don't use a lot of heat on your hair unless the conditioner asks for it.Don't put to much tension on your hair, with bands to put it back. Use only the ones with a protective coating, and don't get them tight. Really baby your hair. It will be OK with a little time.

How do I get thicker hair?

Keep your ends trimmed at least every 4-5 weeks and brush it w/ a soft bristle brush (to get the waves) and also brush w/ any kind of brush to keep soft and for growth. wash your hair every two weeks and if you want to wear your natural curls use leave in conditioner.

My short relaxed hair?

ok im am only 13 years old i got my hair relaxed when i was 12 before i got it relaxed i had really nice hair really thick and long and it would grow at a good pace but now may hair is relaxed and i am having a really hard time growing it i dont care if my hair isnt really long but i would just like it to start to grow again i dont understand why i get my split ends cut off like im supposed to i wrap it at night and were a scarp i dont wash it my self i go to the hair dresser i eat pretty healthy i dont get it wet i put hair oil in it i do every thing im supposed to do but my hair will not grow and i would really apprecate if you could give me a product that has worked for you a routine anything and i dont care if your white black whaterever if you have something that works for you please tell me about it.

thank you i really apprecate

My short relaxed hair?

I had my hair relaxed when I was about 10, it fell out, and never grew back. I am now 50 with long beautiful soft hair. I went for 40 years with messed up hairstyles.

I have the answer for you that I wish I had known when I was a young girl. Take 2 tbls. apple cider vinegar in a glass of water 2-3 x day. ACV has 93 vitamins and minerals so hair will come back. Not overnight of course, but it will become stronger and longer. Trust me. Take it everyday though, but you can skip a day or two if you want. Happy hair growing!

My short relaxed hair?

You could just be going to a slower hair growth period right now. Keep in mind, when you had your hair relaxed you really knocked the wind right out of it. So all you can do now is try not to overly dry it or over process it in any way. Ensure you're conditioning and just try to be patient. I know hard.

My short relaxed hair?

I know how stressful this can be when you're worried about your hair.

The fact is that chemical relaxers are harsh. It sounds like you're doing everything you should to take care of your hair, but I have a couple of suggestions. Makr sure that your stylists is only applying the relaxers to the new growth when you get a touch-up. Also, ask her/him if they could use a more gentle relaxer the next time you get a touch-up.

I hope that is helpful.

My short relaxed hair?

watch your diet, your hair really does grow from the inside out. Keep it well conditioned and try not to use heat excessively. Ask your mom to take you to the doctor and get a good vitamin and mineral combination, or just eat lots of fruits and veggies. Do not forget the water.

My short relaxed hair?

maybe you are doing too much to your hair.what kind of cream are you using ? did they test your hair with the produce ? the cream can be too strong for your hair, try steaming your hair with some stale beer and egg white, wash it , then plat in some braid and let it grow .the bad end will fall off but you hair will grow beauifull again ok

My short relaxed hair?

Sounds to me like you might have some damage that is making your hair break off faster than it is growing.( I say this because you said your hair used to be long... now it's shorter) Relaxed hair is much more fragile than natural hair because it has a couple of layers stripped off of each strand in order to make it straight. Because of this, relaxed hair is much less resistant to anything that you could have done before the relaxer such as ponytails, updo's that are too tight, a lot of gel, a lot of heat (curlers and flat irons). I would suggest to definently take it easy on all of the above and keep doing what you are doing... taking care of your hair.

Black Hair Question: Is it safer to texturize or relax my texturized hair?

I'm wearing my hair curly now, but have set up an appointment with my hair dresser this Wednesday for a Kelis cut: http://www.virginmedia.com/microsites/si...

This obviously calls for straight hair and since I have to cut it anyhow, I figure I should relax it, right? I keep hearing that I shouldn't relax my hair since it IS texturized [last month]. Is it a good idea to try and straighten it with a strong texturizer? What are my options?

Black Hair Question: Is it safer to texturize or relax my texturized hair?

You just got it textured, so do not go for a straight do for a while. When the texturizer isn't so fresh, it might be better. I did get my hair straightened when I had a texturizer, but the nature of my hair ruined both styles so I think I'll just go natural for the rest of my life.

Black Hair Question: Is it safer to texturize or relax my texturized hair?

wow..i have that same exact cut lol!!! i got my hair dresser to do it too :DDD...you have to relax it hun but she has to cut the side off first (design optional) then relax it...but i recommend that you get the design after u relax it like 3 weeks after so it can grow out natural so she can cut it..because when she relaxes it and that stuff gets on ur freshly cut designed hair lol...it burns!!! lol..

but basically..jus get her to cut off the side first..then get it relaxed..then wait a few weeks to get a design :D

hope u enjoy ur cut its aWESoME!!

Black Hair Question: Is it safer to texturize or relax my texturized hair?

Apparently Caramel treatments can be used to straighten your hair and they can be used on any type of hair. The ingredients are all natural, so you won't have to worry very much about the chemical damage that relaxers will cause.

Help please i want thicker hair?

ok so my hair was relatively thick last yr and the about may lastyr i used this biotin shampoo which is supposed to thicken hair and some other kind but instead it mad emy hair worst a week later i noticed my hair shedding but really really bad and when i went to the hair dresser she said it was just because of the summer so i said ok but then my hair became thin and harder to style im african american so i do get relaxers but ive always got them and my hair was thick now its healthier because i ve gotten it trimmed and its not dry its shiny but its so thin it needs to be full and have body im thinking of telling my hairdresser to use aphogee i use doo gro but idosnt seem to be doing my it grows my hair but its still thin i want it thick will aphogee work or mnae n tail oh im only 15 and i dont have any disease and when she looked at my head she said it was fine but i know its not please help my hair is very difficult to style thanks

Help please i want thicker hair?

Just keep doing what your doing. I really think puberty is playing a big part of your hair thinning. At your age, your hormones are all out of wack and it weighs as huge factor for your hair. The only other thing you can do is try carrot oil. It works great for thinning hair. It happened to me at that age, and it was puberty, but I used the carrot oil and my hair came back with a vengence. Just keep trimming and conditioning, and try the carrot oil, I bet it works.

Help please i want thicker hair?

Try a volumizing shampoo and conditioner. Some say mane and tail work, but I have never tried it. Good luck.

Help please i want thicker hair?

Try volumise your hair with shampoo. lay off the styling for a couple of months. and your hair will look the way you like in about 6 months.

Help please i want thicker hair?

if you are in Ireland/UK Boots do a hair thickening product, or ask in any pharmacy. Vaseline do a hair thickening product.

Leave in conditioners are great, go easy on the hairdryer and flat irons

have you changed your diet since this started happening? Fresh fish really helps your hair grow.

Good luck

Help please i want thicker hair?

I have thin hair, I find that even if you use volumizing shampoo and conditioner...it doesn't help unless you add the volumizing mousse and probably hair spray to keep the volume all day.

Help please i want thicker hair?

dont brush your hair so hard or not at all

Help please i want thicker hair?

I know I am a guy and I don't really know about these things, but I started to use Aloavera gel as hair gel due to other gels and sprays gave me acne and what I noticed was my hair started to get thicker. A word of cause though, I also put it on my face and I started to get more hair on my face. I now have to shave every day but before I would only have to shave 1 a week.

It's cheap, so give it a try!

I'm in my early 30s and the hair growth on my face should have peeked about 5yr ago, but this still significantly increased my facial hair.

How do I take care of my body wave? My hair dresser was vague.?

It is way more curly than I thought. Does it unwind a bit after I shampoo it? I am just need some ideas on how to corral curly hair until it relaxes.

How do I take care of my body wave? My hair dresser was vague.?

Well if you just got your hair permed you have to wait 2 days to shampoo it, then if you want to loosen it up a little bit you can buy a box perm, take the perm solution and place this on your hair, comb it through for just a few minutes, making sure you comb from top to bottom, then apply the neutralizer on top of this for another few minutes.comb it well, rinse out and your hair will be less curly.

How do I take care of my body wave? My hair dresser was vague.?

It will relax...don't worry. Use some conditioner to help smooth and tone it down a bit for the next little while. Use a mousse or gel while your hair is wet ( to way down the curl a little) and you blow it dry with your fingers kind of placing the curls where you want it. If it is frizzy, you may need what is called a cuticle sealer (biosilk is one product) It goes on in a small amount, rubbed into your hands and then thru your hair, concentrating on the ends...just before your hair is completely dry. Then continue with the blow dryer. You will get the hang of it!

Have some hair questions?

hello, i am trying to get my hair like sid vicious, his hair is really thin and spiked long, if you go to google image and search sid vicious u can see, i need help on what to use to get the soft thin spikes, also some hair dresser said his hair is filthy should i shampoo my hair daily, should i try using egg whites as shampoo, idk what to do to get my hair like sid vicious and help would be good thanks

Have some hair questions?

There's such a thing as gel (sorry, I'm having a sarcastic day). Just go to Boots or another drug store and buy some hair gum. This makes it stay really well and you can get amazing results, just spike it from there. This website will help you:

http://forums.men.style.com/thread.jspa?...

And referring to the dirty hair thing. Why use egg-whites when you can use shampoo? There's nothing wrong with that you know, and you can get some really cheap stuff and it won't affect your 'Sid' style!

Have some hair questions?

I am going by description only here. Max. gel and/or hair spay and blow dryer at the same time. Depending on how oily you hair gets you could wash every other day. No eggs.

How long does it take you to get your hair done at the hair dresser?

I've been to about five hairdressers in the last three years and each time my appointments take between 2 - 3 hours.

I never ask for anything complicated -- just a wash, blow dry, trim my ends and curl it under. No biggie. So yeah, it really annoys me.

My hair barely comes to my shoulders and the texture is very soft and curly with some frizz.

I hate going which is why I only go every three months rather than every two weeks like people reccomend.

How long does it take you to get your hair done at the hair dresser?

4 hours

How long does it take you to get your hair done at the hair dresser?

a couple of years or so

How long does it take you to get your hair done at the hair dresser?

When I get my hair highlighted it takes around 2 hours, but for a trim and wash? It should only take 45 min.

What I don't get it...

How long does it take you to get your hair done at the hair dresser?

Wash trim and style shouldn't take over 45 minutes or they dont know what they are doing!

You get what you pay for, stylist who can chrage more CAN because they are good. Your Walmart salon is full of the bottom feeders.

How long does it take you to get your hair done at the hair dresser?

My hair is past my shoulders, thick and naturally curly. Normally it takes 1 to 1.5 hours to get it done. The longest part is getting my hair dried.

How long does it take you to get your hair done at the hair dresser?

For that it takes me 35 minutes but I also get her to straighten my and what not.

How long does it take you to get your hair done at the hair dresser?

2 hours to straighten my hair. it they do twists in my hair i think its 3 hours or something.

How long does it take you to get your hair done at the hair dresser?

For wash blowdry and straighten about an hour.

For highlights about 2 hours.

How long does it take you to get your hair done at the hair dresser?

it takes me like 20- 30 minutes...

How long does it take you to get your hair done at the hair dresser?

it doesn't take me that long at all. everywhere i've been, not including the wait of course, i'm usually in and out in less than an hour, it depends on how much hair i get cut. i worked at a hair salon washing hair for years and i never saw anyone in there for longer than an hour unless they were getting hilghlights or a perm. i don't know why it takes them so long to do yours..? you should ask them next time!

How long does it take you to get your hair done at the hair dresser?

thats weird.. my moms a hairdresser it takes about 45 min for a wash, dry, cut. im sure curly hair might take a little longer but 3 hours..? thats odd.

How long does it take you to get your hair done at the hair dresser?

i dont know why it takes so long.. it really shouldn't just for a trim %26amp; style.

are you going to someone who knows what they are doing or not? seems as though you need to go to a better salon.

it doesn't even take me that long and i'm still in beauty school.

My hair is black and when I put colored dye in it it doesn't take. How can I get my color to sh

I have went to the hair dresser to get a perm n every once n awhile I would let her put a semi-permanent dye on top of my perm because it takes better. My color will never turn out 2 be the color that the dye is, but it shows kinda in the light. I'm a African-American female and I am wondering what I can do 2 get my color to show up n my hair. I kno that bleaching my hair is out of the question because I have a perm n I looked up bleaching permed hair n the websites say that u shouldn't bleach permed hair.

My hair is black and when I put colored dye in it it doesn't take. How can I get my color to show on my hair?

get a wig

My hair is black and when I put colored dye in it it doesn't take. How can I get my color to show on my hair?

you could dye parts of you hair blonde (not bleach) and then put the color over it you might have to dye it blonde more then once

My hair is black and when I put colored dye in it it doesn't take. How can I get my color to show on my hair?

You have to get it colored a few different times. Since your color is so dark, the dye won't really make a difference in the beginning, try going a lighter shade then you would and go in at least until you start to notice a change (which should be 3 or 4 dyes.)

My hair is black and when I put colored dye in it it doesn't take. How can I get my color to show on my hair?

i think thats the only way is to bleach it so that u can get the black out my boyfriend has jet black hair and like u he wanted it a different color. we tried everything finally we just had to bleach it out to get the color he wanted. but u can always try wigs or weave.

My hair is black and when I put colored dye in it it doesn't take. How can I get my color to show on my hair?

Black hair is VERY HARD to dye; I mean am Asian and my hair color is Jet Black. So to start out, dye your hair with some "brown color" like Hazel Nut Brown, Golden Brown, Chocolate Brown, ect.. Then once your hair excepting the bleachin fomuler, go all at it with Blones and Reds. It may take you a couple time of dyeing it before your color turn out the way you like.

My hair is black and when I put colored dye in it it doesn't take. How can I get my color to show on my hair?

nothings gonna come out right if you still have dye in it from before if you dyed it not too long ago (if you did). You might just have to wait awile for your hair to grow out of the perm and then get it bleached cause bleachin and permed hair don't go well as far as I've herd so don't do anything to hurt your hair I bet you have beautiful hair that just got permed so don't worry about being so quick to dye it.

My hair is black and when I put colored dye in it it doesn't take. How can I get my color to show on my hair?

If you're hair is dyed black, you won't be able to just dye it a lighter colour because the hair won't accept it. If this is the case, you need to strip the darker dye out and they dye it lighter. If it's not and your hair is naturally black, you'll just have to dye it a slighter colour again and again until you get it the colour that you're happy with. If you're in doubt, just drop into a salon and ask a hairdresser, they're the experts anyway. Good luck

My hair is black and when I put colored dye in it it doesn't take. How can I get my color to show on my hair?

my suggestion is get extensions i tried it also when my hair was jet black and nothing would stick to my hair i tried pink, blue, green, and etc.... but the only thing that actually worked was extensions

good luck finding your solution let me know what works

My hair is black and when I put colored dye in it it doesn't take. How can I get my color to show on my hair?

Black is very hard to dye. Well, If I were you I would only do maybe High Lights. Because sicne you probably have to style it all the time you will have to contantly dye it and it will do much damage.

Another Haircut but I dont know what I should tell my hair dresser?

Ok so right now my hair is about sholder length. I have side bangs. It is layered a lot and the bottom layer is dyed pink{you could say scene but I hate labels}have to get my hair trimmed any ways and my side bangs shortened. So, I thought I would get it cut again. I want to get the back shorter but not to short[not like naped at the neck]. And the front/middle longer than the rest[the part right in front of my sholders]. The problem is I dont know how to tell my stylist that. Help me Please.

Another Haircut but I dont know what I should tell my hair dresser?

i would tell her the smae thing you just listed. make sure you are really specific. you could also look up the hair cut you want online. or use a celebrity influence. something like that...

good luck

Another Haircut but I dont know what I should tell my hair dresser?

i would say, to tell your stylist exactly that. Im sure she would know what to do if you told her just that.

Another Haircut but I dont know what I should tell my hair dresser?

You just told us...do the same to your stylist!!!! It will be easier to show her, too!

Another Haircut but I dont know what I should tell my hair dresser?

Look online and bring in a picture of the closest hair cut that you can find that matches exactly what you want (I do this all the time). Then if there is something different from the picture that you want done, just tell her. She'll listen and try to understand exactly what you want.

Another Haircut but I dont know what I should tell my hair dresser?

Since i'm not really sure what it will look like on you, I say you should go with whatever you would like. Its summer, so if you dont like it after it's done there will still be time for some of it to grow on you. Also, i'd talk to any other experts on hair besides your hairdresser that you know of.

I hope I have answered your question,

Girls only please. my hair is falling out?

my hair used to be thick-ish..long and slightly wavy. I dyed it black, cut it short.. then stripped the black out. And now I have to straighten my hair right after I get out of the shower or its like fuzzy and gross.

My hair falls out a lot when I take showers.

Like when its wet and I run my fingers through it a lot of strands come out.

Even my hair dresser said I have a lot of hair loss...when she washed my hair.

I've been going through a lot of stress and depression, and also a lot of hair damage.. So I was thinking that was probably why.

Is there any foods, pills, vitamins, anything that will make my hair grow fast, strong, and thick again??

Girls only please. my hair is falling out?

Nexxus Hair Emergencee worked miracles for me when I had hair loss problems. Buy the Emergencee product and the two other Nexxus products listed on the back of the bottle of Emergencee and use them regularly and they will help to restore your hair back to normal. It will be pricey but it is worth it!

Also, pre-natal vitamins help a lot too!

Girls only please. my hair is falling out?

STRESS CAN CAUSE HAIR LOSS, BUT THERE ARE OTHER REASONS ALSO. DIFFERENT MEDICATIONS. CHECK EITHER WITH A DOCTOR OR A HAIR STYLIST.

Girls only please. my hair is falling out?

you most likely need a shampoo that restores the damage you've done to you're hair. and let conditioner sit in your hair longer.

Girls only please. my hair is falling out?

I think somebody here needs a hug.

*Hug*

-Good luck my friend

Girls only please. my hair is falling out?

Get your thyroid checked that could have something to do with it

Girls only please. my hair is falling out?

yeah Ur prob stressing a lot maybe u should make a day to Ur self just one relax I'm sorry but no i don't know if there's any pills etc, DON'T STRESS

Girls only please. my hair is falling out?

well stress and depression can cause hair loss and dying it and then stripping it prob burnt it so to get your lovely locks back try mixing some knox gelatin in an 8 eight ounce glass of water and drinking it. This will also make your nails grow and make them stronger

Girls only please. my hair is falling out?

It's probably from the dyeing...It did the same thing to my hair. What you need to do is just eat healthily -- 2 servings of protein a day (too much is just as bad for the hair) -- and I would do a deep conditioning treatment once a week. An inexpensive one that works really well for me is to just wet my hair, coat with olive oil and let it sit for 20-30 minutes before shampooing and conditioning as normal. Be careful though as it can make your shower floor slick. You can also look for conditioners with shea butter -- I like the one from Jessicurl.

Otherwise, don't stress and leave your hair alone and it will be back in shape in no time.

Girls only please. my hair is falling out?

well u try makin a paste of methi seeds and apply it on head....keep it for sum time and wash it really helps 2 stop it methi means fenu greek...visit dis site,,,,www.naguhelp.com

Girls only please. my hair is falling out?

Drink 10-12 glasses of water daily and have a high protein diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables and dairy products. Since iron-deficiency anemia can also cause hair loss, make sure that you eat a well-balanced diet that includes a daily serving or two of iron-rich foods. Check out

http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

Girls only please. my hair is falling out?

stop dying the hair. eat more veggies and fruits. take care of your hair and body!

Emo hair =]?

Okay.

I'm getting my hair cut either tonight or tomorrow, and I really want a different style. My hair is already punkish/emoish but I want it better.

My hair is just above my shoulders and a little past my neck, i want to keep the same length.

I want it really choppy and emoish.

Any pictures of what I could use to send to my hair dresser?

Go for an edgy bob! You can mess it up a little or leave it sleek and straight. I think a dark brown with strawberry blonde highlight would look amazing.

I love this one!

I want a similar style, and I don't want it so I can be labelled. It's just unique, and looks cute. Who would want to be labelled? I just want to be myself, and stand out.

My hair has some lawyers, and it's in a U shape from the back. I want it so that when i straigthen my hair or not it's looks choppy...and feels thiner.

I want my hair to have the choppy look but still tie it up. How do I tell the hair dresser what i want?

i actually have the hair style you're talking about. what i ask for is a shoulder length cut with layers and side bangs. however, i also ask them to razor the front of the cut and make the layers choppy. (no joke. i ask them to make it distorted). they may give you a funny look at first because its not "polished" but it feels lighter and looks great when straightened!

Find a celebrity with a similar hairstyle to the one that you want and show it to the hairstyles. In fact, find a few so she/he cannot mess it up.

Layered hair at the jaw line?

If i want my hair cut kind of like this what should i say to the hair dresser?

right now my hair is kinda medium like below my shoulders but i want it the same length only layered around the jaw-line because i have kind of a square face

so if this picture is not right what hair-style would you recommend?

http://imstars.aufeminin.com/stars/fan/D...

Layered hair at the jaw line?

Tell the stylist you want it the same length, but layered with the shortest layer around your jawline.. Hope that helps :)

Layered hair at the jaw line?

I came across this page, while looking at that same hairstyle for myself. Curious, if you'd gotten it done, how it looked, how well the hairstylist was able to match the picture. My hair is long; I've got kind of a rounded face. So, please, if you could, get back to me? I'd appreciate it greatly. Report It

Layered hair at the jaw line?

Say you want shaping around your face.

Layered hair at the jaw line?

I think layers are the right idea for your face shape, but more layers might be better to get the effect you are looking for. Also keep in mind that Kate Winslet, in the photo, has her hair highlighted, probably with an extremely expensive foiling process, and that will have an effect on what the hairstyle actually looks like on you once it has been cut. Remember also that layered hairstyles are best for straight and wavy hair, but not for hair that is extremely curly.

Here are a few pictures of some layered hairstyles. Be sure to print the photo and bring it with you to the hairdresser so that she/he can see what you want, rather than have you try to describe it to them.

Hair color problem-Can I dye my hair brown?

I havent died my hair in like 10 months because I was pregnant. My roots are a few inches long now and my natural hair color is dark brown/ashy black. The rest of my hair is black, and its long.

I want to go brown.

Can I even go brown? Will it be hard to strip the black color out? Will it damage my hair too much? Will it turn out even? Should I even attempt to do it on my own with store bought colors or should I go to a hair dresser?

Hair color problem-Can I dye my hair brown?

I suggest you have it professionally done, because a lot of the things you described are things that could go wrong. Chances are if you do it at home, something will go wrong. Better to be safe than sorry!

Hair color problem-Can I dye my hair brown?

go to the hairdresser you are going to try to go lighter and you will orob end up goldy and the new growth wont be the same as the mid shaft and the ends will be darker yet.. so go in because that is whta they get paid to do ,fix you!!

Hair color problem-Can I dye my hair brown?

I have seen to many home hair dye jobs gone wrong. And once it goes wrong the person goes to a professional to do it right. save your self the worry and time. They do go to school to learn techniques and have access to better chemicals. besides you just had a baby treat yourself you deserve it.

Hair color problem-Can I dye my hair brown?

you should most deffently go to the salon do not get the box color from the store. trust me as a hair dress myself it will make it harder in the long run with box on your hair if you want to change it in the long run because of all the build up.

also is the black you have on now box? if so it still wont be hard to get your hair to a brown because, all they have to do is strip/ligthen your hair and when they do that it will turn to like a red/orange color and then they would put on the brown hair color.

but if you try to do it your self the box color might not be able to lift your hair to the brown you want. because the box color does not have a devloper that lifts color in it only blond. anothere thing is that you have regroth and then you got color treated hair which means that they would have to use to different colors to get all your hair to match so, it is all even with one color.

anothere thing you girls can get your hair color while being pregnet it is safe. the only thing you can not do is get your nails done because of the dust when filing the nails and you can not get a perm because the chem in a perm are way to storng for any pregnet women to be around.

but good luck on your hair hope it comes out looking better than ever!

Hair color problem-Can I dye my hair brown?

you can go brown. you mite have to use bleach on your ends being that there is color on them. your regrowth you wont have to use bleach. depending on what color brown-dark-light (not recommended-being that your roots are so dark) i would say get a good trim on your ends before attempting anything. and if you dont want your hair to turn red-go to a professional. it would be alot easier to spend the money to have someone else do it the right way-and if you dont like it-you have the right to get your money back or for them to do it over. believe it or not there IS a BIG difference between store bought and professional products. especially since they are trained to do things like this. always make sure to keep your hair conditoned-especially being that it is long and you are thinking of going lighter. professional-you shouldnt have a problem- good luck!

Who knows the address of a reputable black hair dresser in London?

South east London or Centre. I am sick of crap hairdressers who mash up my hair and chop it up. Any suggestions?

Who knows the address of a reputable black hair dresser in London?

I hope this helps. All the work I've seen is very avant garde.I've done a little research,I plan on going to London, this was the closest I have found that's reputable.

My hair is too long?

I've had my long hair. My husband David loves it long. Most people would say your hair your business. My husband David is blind and loves my long hair and even calls it his security blanket. My hair is past my butt. I have triplets age 4 1/2 mos. I cut it once. I had the hair dresser take off 6 inches and he had a fit and he was mad at me. He was so upset. Do you think I should leave it alone? Any SOUND advice?

My hair is too long?

what makes him happy , makes u happy. so just leave it long, u have nothing to lose and everything to gain...his love and happpiness

My hair is too long?

I think you should leave it long but its your decision

My hair is too long?

Well if it would really upset him that much, dont do it. You want him to be happy right?

But then again, you should try and make yourself happy too.

My hair is too long?

With triplets that young I think you should get it cut shorter, tell him you love him and will grow it out again later.

My hair is too long?

Leave it.

My hair is too long?

I think you should leave it long or do what you want to do. I know your husband will understand. My hair is pass my butt too. And all my friends love it. But I want to chop off like 1 inch or 2. I know my friends will get upset but i know they will understand.

My hair is too long?

leave it alone and make a world record lol no really let it be! just brush it and stuff

My hair is too long?

If and when you do get it cut, go to another hairdresser.. anyone who would freak out over making money on a haircut is not professional.

You could cut your hair to your mid back maybe, just to make it a little easier to deal with so you don't accidentally find your hair/braid hanging in a dirty baby's diaper while youre in a mad frenzy to change all the kids lol

My hair is too long?

i think u should go for it just try to make him understand.

My hair is too long?

I think it is nice that you have kept it long for your hubby, but enough is enough. Security blankets are for babies, and if you are done with it, he needs to be too. Frankly, hair past your but isn't attractive anyway...and with 3 babies?? You need to put yourself first in this time when YOU are low on the list. He will have to understand. It's not like you are going to get it super short I assume.

My hair is too long?

Your hair should be the length that YOU are comfortable with. If you don't like it cut it, it is YOUR hair.

My hair is too long?

thats not really his choice, but if you really care, decide on a length you like and he feels comfortable with. x閳绢櫨閳绢櫨閳绢櫨

My hair is too long?

I really think you should cut it, it just doesnt seem healthy or easy with three little ones running around!! Just talk to your husband and tell him why you want to cut it, and maybe he needs to just let some of it go- it is just hair!!

My hair is too long?

I think that is much too long. Lots of problems can come from that AND it probably doesn't look that good seeing as though your ends are probably at least six years old. I say get it cut. Hair that long is not beautiful, or becoming, sorry. Tell him that you're sorry, but it's your hair, your decision and that you think that it's just too much. If he doesn't like it....oh well.

My hair is too long?

talk to him about it, ask him about how short he wouldn't mind you cutting it. when it comes down to it though, it is YOUR hair.

good luck though!%26lt;3

My hair is too long?

well its ur choice, you can always tie it up if it annoys you

My hair is too long?

you should leave the length of it but get some layers to make it look better! =)

My hair is too long?

1] it's your hair. You have to look at it, not him.

2] tactile sensation is very important to sight-impaired people.

3] triplets at 4 and 1/2 months! WOW! that's a lot of work!

Suggest a deal with your husband - you tell him before you trim or cut it, so he can get used to the idea.

I had hair to my butt, trimmed regularly.

I cut 6 inches off with the first baby.

I cut another 6 inches with the second.

Then I retired, so I wouldn't have to cut my hair any more.

It is actually less work, in my opinion, when it is at least to your shoulders - you have more styling options [ chignon, ponytail, french twist, braid, etc. ] with less prep [ blow outs, curling irons, etc. ]

My hair is too long?

If You are not happy with it and really want to then cut it.!!!

Try to make him understand In a relationship his happiness should be your happiness and Viceversa. He should understand.

because if you are not happy with it then the only reason you would not cut it is because you feel sorry for him...

If he calls it his Security blanket then he oviously is unsecure about something, i would recomend seeing a marriage counseler because sometimes The real problem is much deeper the just a hair cut.

If you dont want to go to extremes...then just talk to Him.

wish you the best.

remember love understands.

My hair is too long?

cut it dont care for ur husband about ur hair if u cant go to the bathroom with worry about ur hair

My hair is too long?

you should honestly tell him that despite the fact he likes it long, you dont and prefer it short. he needs to get over it. it must be hard having long hair and young children. just say it gently.

[[dont cut him slack bc he's blind either]]

My hair is too long?

well, it's your head, your body, your decision. HOWEVER- I personally would not make that kind of change without at least telling my husband... and if he's blind, it probably IS a bigger deal to him than to most husbands. BUT- talk to him about it. talk about how much u want to get cut off. and if ur hair is still super long, which it sounds like it is, what r u gonna do with it? consider "locks of love", an organization that makes wigs out of human hair for ppl suffering from diseases that render them hairless, like cancer. Talk to your hubby about the practicality of it all- taking care of the babies, and whatever you have to do for him. and then, if u decide to donate your locks, the good it would do for someone else. take his feelings and opinions into account, but ultimitly, its your call.

My hair is too long?

As long as it doesn't interfere with your job, I guess its OK.

I believe this is stricktly between you and your husband.

I Cr 13;8a

My hair is too long?

you could cut it like 3 inches, it will still be long=]

My hair is too long?

Dont cut your hair. Im a guy and im growing my hair long. My fiancee has NEVER cut her hair since she was born. And she does not plan on ever cutting her hair.

My hair is too long?

If you decide to cut your long hair you can sell it at: http://hairbuyer.com

My hair is too long?

Cut them,10 more inches...It is not got for the health of your babies...And explain to your husband that later, you will leave them, and they'll get longer than now...I suppose he loves your babies, and cares about them!

So cut them a little bit more

My hair is too long?

Do you like it long? I can't think of any good reason to cut it. Your husband is happy with it, and just as long as it's in good condition, I'm sure it's very attractive. I'd suggest keeping it long.

My hair is too long?

If you put your hair up when you are with the triplets like in a braided bun it would be easier for you and your husband will still know you have long hair. But it really is your decision because YOU are the one who has to deal with it every day. You might want to explain to your husband why your long hair is getting in the way and that it is just too hard to keep it long.

My hair is too long?

my daughter has beautiful black hair . she grows it out till she can set on it then donates it to locks of love after a while , then she does the different styles while waiting for it to grown out again, this year she donated over three feet of hair 40 inches. and it is for a good cause, maybe that would help himunderstand and accept the change once every few years. it is temporary , it will grow back and it is for a good cause

good luck

What should you look for when choosing a hair dresser?

I am sick of going to just cuts and other inexperinced salons and having my hair butchered. When i tell them what sort of haircut i want they don't have a clue what i'm talking about.

Any tips for finding a good place (by the way i live in sydney) would be appreciated.

What should you look for when choosing a hair dresser?

Do you know anyone who always seems to have great hair? If you do don't be afraid to ask who they use. Even if you don't really know the person, tell them you love their hair and ask who they use. I find that's the best way to find someone really good. Always a good idea to take a picture with you so there is no misunderstanding about how you want your hair. A good hairdresser will also be able to tell you if a certain style won't work with your hair. Good Luck,

Smooth hair like salon with Bumble and Bumble?

I got my hair recently cut and my hair dresser used Bumble and Bumble, but I'm afraid that if I do buy it and wash my hair myself it will not be as shiny and it will appear thicker than if I got it done.

Is there a certain way to wash your hair with the conditioner, like do you have to lather it in until it foams, because usually with my Redken conditioner currently I have to just leave it on and it doesnt foam.

I got a lot of layers and they're practically not visible now when I wash my hair myself.

Smooth hair like salon with Bumble and Bumble?

pretty cool site I've found http://www.the411onhair.com you might find what you're seeking there

Healthy Hair Tips - Black Relaxed Hair?

Any tips on maintaining healthy strong hair?

I have my hair relaxed by my hair dresser, and getting married in 8months time...

Whats the best way to maintain healthy strong hair...?

Good treatments, products, vitamins?

Cheers..

Healthy Hair Tips - Black Relaxed Hair?

Here, first I want to show you a link of my hair. It was past bra strap length, I cut it Jan 07, and it's already grown back to my bra strap. But I am very WARY of taking advice about hair when I can't see the hair of the person so:

http://fiu.facebook.com/album.php?aid=20...

Here you go, that's all mine.

Now:

You should roller set your hair every week. Roller setting your hair distributes low heat over a long time when underneath a dryer. I cannot stress the importance of roller setting to have and keep healthy hair.

Shampoo with a protein shampoo (I use Redken Extreme shampoo) because relaxing robs hair of protein.

Then deep condition (I order Mizani's Hydrafuse online bc they don't sell it to the public, just to the salons AND I mix it with KeraCare Humecto) for about 5-15 minutes UNDER THE DRYER. This is very important, the heat opens up your cuticles. Wash it out with cool water to close it. Relaxing dries out your hair.

Your hair needs a healthy balance of protein and moisture.

After that use a leave-in conditioner. I use KeraCare Leave-In, it is very concentrated so you don't have to use much and it is very, very good at protecting your hair against heat and other damaging factors including sun, wind, etc. I also use Nexxus' leave in conditioner called Luxxtress. It replenishes moisture AND has a bit of protein in it.

I use Design Essentials setting lotion, it is incredible for roller sets for me. So I have two leave in conditioners and a setting lotion in my freshly moisturized (deep conditioner, leave in conditioner) and strengthened (with the protein shampoo and part Luxxtress) hair. My hair is protected and happy.

You don't have to use only ONE brand's products. As you can see, I have mixed it up till I found the perfect matches for my hair.

When I take it out my curls are shiny and bouncy and full. I go to the salon bc I can't roller set my own hair but I can roller set other people's lol. You wouldn't believe the looks my hair gets. People always ask me if it's my own and I proudly say yes. After you take out your roller set, wrap your hair. Or you can get the roots blown out.

Wrap your hair at night with a silk scarf, it's so important to keeping your hair moisturized. Use a silk/satin pillowcase just in case your wrap falls out.

I know that money doesn't grow on trees but I promise if you invest your money on high-quality hair products, your hair will thank you.

You might also need a trim or cut because may have split ends. ONLY trim if you have split ends, other than that you have no reason to trim your hair every time you go get a relaxer or roller set your hair.

Also, you can start trying taking supplements. I used to use GNC's Ultranourishair, Biotin, and MSM. All these things are good for your hair. HOWEVER, if after 3 months you don't see improvement (and I mean look at your roots) then stop taking them. Some people don't metabolize synthetic vitamins as well as others, that's why you see some people swear by them and some don't. They help maximize your own hair growth POTENTIAL along with a good diet. They worked for me but I became too lazy.

I think this covers it all but you can always ask for more, I love to help people with relaxed hair! A lot of people hate on us and say we should go natural but there is such thing as healthy relaxed hair that you can grow long and thick as I have!

Healthy Hair Tips - Black Relaxed Hair?

if you want healthy hair, then don't get it relaxed! relaxing your hair makes it coarser and harder to handle and very unhealthy! use a hydrating shampoo and avoid heating tools like irons, blowdryers, etc. you may even want to buy a hair mask at the drugstore to replenish it and condition it for very healthy hair. hair masks are great for making your weak hair stronger - they are usually under $15 and make a difference! hope you like my idea!

Healthy Hair Tips - Black Relaxed Hair?

aww your getting married in 8 months!!!

umm , to maintain your hair strong and healthy, stay away from hot comb and straighteners.Relax your hair when you only need to like every month or every two months.Stay away from chemicals.Get a lot of deep conditioning. You can ask your hairdresser for hair treatments every week(ex:hot oil treatment)

Good luck and happy new year.

Healthy Hair Tips - Black Relaxed Hair?

I think Angelique pretty much covered it all very well!

The only thing I'd like to add is that you should wear your hair up. Wearing your hair up will keep the ends from coming in contact with the horrible weather elements (heat, wind, etc.) as well as bad fabrics (wool coats, hats, sweaters. This will help you retain more length b/c you will get less split ends.

Also, be very gentle when handling your hair and moisturize your ends every night before bed.

Use high-quality combs. I prefer bone combs but any "seamless" comb will do. You'll need various ones depending on what you're doing to your hair.

Healthy Hair Tips - Black Relaxed Hair?

Currently i have long hair and have been learning alot so...

i do not have a relaxer i stopped getting them 5 years ago ( and i've only have 3 relaxers in my life time so this is all natural) so i can show you how to take care of hair with or without a relaxer. With relaxers retaining moisture is key

1. The shampoo, unfortunately many black women are using shampoos with alcohol and petroleum jelly. step away from them. Use Aveda's shampoo.. specifically the name is Brilliant...go to the website. I use it, i love it, it mouisterizes my hair and the products are natural. i have also heard that KeraCare is great for relaxered hair.

2. Okay, step two condition it and then it is time to comb it out, Do not use a brush on you hair when it is wet,,it will hate you for it then break off in revenge. Put your your sections use a big tooth comb, to untangle it

3. Do a hot oil treatment atleast once a month with extra virgin olive oil...repeat..EXTRA VIRGIN olive oil..not the regular stuff. unfortunately i have yet to take this step however my hair is doing great. You will also need protein and deep conditioning treatments alteast once a month.

4. Okay on the daily basis you need to pay close attention to your hair...i recommend conditioning your scalp(3-4 times a week) and your ends(everyday) so that they will not get dry and unhealthy Petroleum jellly and mineral oil are weapons of mass destruction ( in other words do not use grease) it does so much harm to your hair it cannot be all explained here. So you ask what do I use...well natural oils grapeseed oil ( use it for hair it deflects heat so it is good for flat iron users like us)

jojoba oil(i use this for my scalp), extra virgin olive oil, sesame oil, emu oil, coconut oil...all these natural oils and more love you..i promise.I also use Aveda's Brilliant ( the name of the brand) emollient for my ends.

5. Next..if you want your hair straight but still be natural it is time to get a freakin good flat iron.,i have the Chi(Chi flat iron do not work in the UK)..it does the job but I recommend getting the Sedu because of the good reviews. make sure to protect your hair..i have so thermal protector from Aveda. When flat ironing your hair do not let the iron stay on your hair for too long, just 1-2 quick swipes.I strongly advise against flat ironing hair with relaxers.

6. If you have a relaxer ( i have heard and seen that Affirm is the best relaxer) don't continue to relaxer all your hair everytime you go to the salon..just the new growth and try to stretch relaxers as long as possible. Rollersets under hooded dryers, with the lowest setting at possible temperature is recommended.

7. You do not need to trim your hair everytime you go to the salon maybe every 3 to 6 months.

8. Wrap your hair in a satin or silk scarf to prevent damage before you go to bed.

9. Eat healthy, drink lots of water,

10 take multivitamins, and fish oil pills you can get from GNC.

Follow these basics steps, can manuver them according to your needs ( like some don't do oil or or protein treatments, so oil everyday while others once s week, so people wash their hair once a week while others once every two weeks , but you have to the basics.)

Bridesmaid Hair????

I'm a bridesmaid at a wedding in 6 weeks time and the bride has let us choose our hair accesories I really like this comb:

http://www.hair-we-go.co.uk/shop/product...

and I want to wear it in a style like this (but i'm flexible):

http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/index...

I have layered darkish blonde hair that just touches my shoulders it's quite thin and straightens easily, but it does not curl without a fight, if I need to I'll have it cut differently before the wedding just nothing too drastic!

I'm wearing the light purple dress with shoes and jewellery to match

http://www.renaissancebridal.co.uk/produ...

at the minute we don't have a hair dresser so any ideas on how to make my hair look simple and pretty would help

thanks

Bridesmaid Hair????

The comb is lovely, as is the hairdo!!

However, I have hair that's very similar to yours - it's thin and baby-fine, so for me, styling is always a bit of a challenge, so here are my questions as one fine-haired girl to another:

You're going to have a long day that day. What's the weather like where you're at this time of year? Will your 'do fall flat in the humidity? You don't want to be messing with it all day, so make sure you've got some good product in your hair!!

On a personal level, I prefer updo's for events like this - only because it's up, it's out of my face, and I don't have to worry about my hair getting flyaway, falling flat, etc. With that said, you can't go wrong with a simple french twist. They're easy to do - or to have a hairdresser do for you - they're sleek, sophisticated and your fine hair will hold it - and as an added bonus, the twist will give your hair a little extra thickness to really help anchor that comb in!! That's simply my two cents on it, anyway.

BTW - bridemaids dresses? Simply fab.

Bridesmaid Hair????

I think the comb and style you have chosen are perfect, I can't think of anything nicer than those.

Bridesmaid Hair????

The comb is really beautiful! It would look nice to have your hair in soft big curls - my hair sounds like yours, but it is possible!

Bridesmaid Hair????

try www.theknot.com

Bridesmaid Hair????

I think the styles you chose are lovely, but based on how you described your hair you may not be happy with it half way through the wedding. My hair is straight as well and if i even get it to curl, it is a flop within a hour! 6 weeks from now, the weather may be pretty warm still, so that may *** to the 'flop'. Something you may want to try, that you could still use the comb with, would be a low (near the bottom of your skull) bun type twist which is 'off center' . It would not be a side bun, but somewhere between the back and side. It is actually a pretty popular style right now and is simple and neat, so 10 years from now you won't be wondering what the hell you did with your hair!! :) Also, it will give you a consistent un-annoying style for the whole night. If you are unsure what I mean, contact me and I can send you a picture from a wedding I was in... UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU CUT YOUR HAIR INTO A NEW STYLE JUST TO GET AN UPDO!!!!!....unless you want a new style anyway

Bridesmaid Hair????

I think its perfect, in worst case senario, if you can't get it to curl, then just make sure it has lots of volume, and maybe flip up the ends of it for a little flair, it would still look really cute. Now, go find a hairdresser! lol!

How to describe a haircut to a hair dresser???

ok. so my hair is straight when i get it cut.. but when it grows out , there r waves on the top and my bangs curl. im trying to get a "shaggy" look. not tooooo shaggy. something like this::: http://www.gainesphoto.com/images/senior...

or this

http://i.imdb.com/Photos/Events/6103/Cha...

so my question is what should i ask for?

what # on the sides and what should i ask for on the top?

and im going to buy some sunsilk shampoos they have out. i heard there are diff kinds? what kind will be for me?
