My short relaxed hair?

I had my hair relaxed when I was about 10, it fell out, and never grew back. I am now 50 with long beautiful soft hair. I went for 40 years with messed up hairstyles.

I have the answer for you that I wish I had known when I was a young girl. Take 2 tbls. apple cider vinegar in a glass of water 2-3 x day. ACV has 93 vitamins and minerals so hair will come back. Not overnight of course, but it will become stronger and longer. Trust me. Take it everyday though, but you can skip a day or two if you want. Happy hair growing!

You could just be going to a slower hair growth period right now. Keep in mind, when you had your hair relaxed you really knocked the wind right out of it. So all you can do now is try not to overly dry it or over process it in any way. Ensure you're conditioning and just try to be patient. I know hard.

I know how stressful this can be when you're worried about your hair.

The fact is that chemical relaxers are harsh. It sounds like you're doing everything you should to take care of your hair, but I have a couple of suggestions. Makr sure that your stylists is only applying the relaxers to the new growth when you get a touch-up. Also, ask her/him if they could use a more gentle relaxer the next time you get a touch-up.

I hope that is helpful.

watch your diet, your hair really does grow from the inside out. Keep it well conditioned and try not to use heat excessively. Ask your mom to take you to the doctor and get a good vitamin and mineral combination, or just eat lots of fruits and veggies. Do not forget the water.

maybe you are doing too much to your hair.what kind of cream are you using ? did they test your hair with the produce ? the cream can be too strong for your hair, try steaming your hair with some stale beer and egg white, wash it , then plat in some braid and let it grow .the bad end will fall off but you hair will grow beauifull again ok

Sounds to me like you might have some damage that is making your hair break off faster than it is growing.( I say this because you said your hair used to be long... now it's shorter) Relaxed hair is much more fragile than natural hair because it has a couple of layers stripped off of each strand in order to make it straight. Because of this, relaxed hair is much less resistant to anything that you could have done before the relaxer such as ponytails, updo's that are too tight, a lot of gel, a lot of heat (curlers and flat irons). I would suggest to definently take it easy on all of the above and keep doing what you are doing... taking care of your hair.
