This is why I am afraid of cutting my hair. I just need a trim but I am scared that they will cut it all off! Has something like that ever happend to you??

Yup lots of times i find better results when i use my hands to tell hair how much i wanna cut off visual affect will actually let you hairdresser see instead of just guess

yes.. i hate it..they want to do what they think will look good..but then they always give u a style you cant do..lol..now when i go i make sure they dont cut much off by watching them closely and me telling the stylist all the time..

Anyways, tips on getting your hair cut, don't cross your legs is screws up your posture, be realistic, bring pictures, show how much you want cut off with your hand.

You could always get a friend or a family member to trim your hair for you, since your not actually getting your hair cut into a different style, any who, hairdressers may cut your hair shorter so it grows out, but if you're trying to grow your hair long or keep it long tell that to the hairdresser it makes all the difference. Yep.. have had that experience when I was around 17. Ended up with what looked like a crew cut to me!

Have had prolly 4 "Pro" cuts since then. I'm 56 and trim my own hair by myself.

Just trim the split ends, cut bangs if you want to (If they don't look good, they'll grow back in)\

yes my hair was past my butt then i said four inches and they cutit to my shoulders i was pissed so just say

2 instead of 4

1 instead of 2

1/2 instead of 1

etc.

yeaa ! when i was little i remember my aunt said to the hair dresser "dont cut it short too much or else she'll cry" and then the person ended up cutting off so much! i was so sad and regretted gettin gmy hair cut
