Hair dresser with experience with children's hair??

My daughter has very fine, long, wavy hair, and it often just looks like a frizzy mass; is there something I can do to make her hair more manageable? a product or technique? any suggestions? Shes only four but loves having her hair long, we just need a way to make it easier to work with so it doesnt look a mess an hour after we do her hair in the morning.....

My daughter has the same texture of hair as your daughter. She was 5 when I had her Godmother (a professional hairdresser) flat-iron her hair. There are only three hairdresser that I will trust to flat-iron her hair. I chose one of them because her daughters had a fine texture of hair also.

Umm... you could straighten it. buy a flat iron and do it.. but i dont know how safe that is since she's soo young. because straightening it makes it much easier to manage. and its pretty

hey ya lullu my Mum is a hair dresser and she always uses de frizz stuff and it controls the friz in your hair and even try straightening it with a hair straightener coz i find it keeps my hair straight, neat and tidy for the whole day!!! ps. i couldnot live without my hair straightner and de-frizz hair stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

You aren't using baby shampoo on her, are you? It can be very drying. If so, start by changing shampoos.

Besides that, I would go with styling products. I have very thick poofy hair and always used the spray in conditioners when I was young-it helped to keep it down a bit. However, she may need more than that. Try any of the anti-frizz products-most work pretty good. I doubt a four year old will have enough patience for much styling!

There are many products on the market today. Stop by your local salon, they should be able to suggest something. I use Paul Mitchell Super Skinny. It softens the frizz and makes my hair shine. It's not harmful to the hair either. Matrix makes a great shampoo and conditioner that will help also. I would not recommend a flat iron, it damages the hair, and you could severely burn your daughter.
