Can anyone suggest a good (but not too expensive) hair dresser for black women in Northern Virginia or DC or Southern PG County? I'm in need of a relaxer and recently moved to the area. Girl, I feel your pain. I wish I could be of assistance for I am in the Philadelphia area. I love the Dominicans...I will ask a few of my girlfriends in the MD/DC/VA area for you. If possible, send me an IM so I can tell you where my girlfriends said for you to go.

Sorry, I'm about 150 miles north of you. I don't know any stylists in DC, but be careful of the Dominicans. If you go, be sure your hair is healthy. They do a lot of pulling to get your hair straight like that. If your hair is damaged, that will only stress it more.

o there's a really good one in washington dc called fantastic sams and it cost only $30.00-$50.00 but the bad thing is that it's for people of color and white.sry
