How do you fire your fire your hair dresser?

My hair dresser never does my hair the way I want it to be. How can I stop going to her without hurting her feelings? And I have been going to her for 8 years.

Well you can just not make another appointment, when she calls you tell her that you can not make it or break it to her easy, just go somewhere else. You can also tell her this is how you want your hair done and not to vary from this spasific design and you do that because you have been going there for so long and you have somekind of bond with her and want to give her another chance, she must not of always been this way or you would not of gone to her for so long.

You don't have to fire her. Just go to someone else. If she finds out, and you have to confront her, tell her that you liked what she did, but that you wanted to step out of your comfort zone.

Be honest with her. Bring a pic next time of exactly what you want and be specific while she cuts, styles, etc. (Longer here, shorter here, whispy bangs) If she ignores your opinion and does what she wants anyway, don't go back.

Don't ever make an appointment with her...Are you friends outside of the salon? Have you told her that it doesn't come out as you want it to?

My cousin used to cut my hair, but I decided that other people can do a better job. With her, I would have to make some type of appointment. I just told her that when I want to get a hair cut I don't like to wait for one (which is true).

Either you can just stop going and hope you never see her or confront her about it, tell her exactly how you want your hair done before you even sit down in the chair pictures are a big help, a good hair dresser listens to their clients and will check in with them every so often to make sure the direction you are heading is the correct one.

If you have been going back to her for that last 8 years there must be something you like about her. Figure what you don't like, is it how she cuts your hair, is she not friendly or something else. When you know what it is, tell her, say something like "I know I have been coming to you for the last 8 years but I have not been very happy with my hair cuts/dye/perm/style etc. If we can't figure out how to work together better I think I am going to start going elsewhere." Suggest a different way to work together as a team rather then just letting her do whatever then you leave unhappy. If that does not work then just don't go back.

Tell her about how you feel and even try to bring in pictues of the style you want. The good thing about it is, to "fire" her, all you really have to do is stop going to her.
