Hair, hair dye, hairdressers.?

hullo! i have long hair that stops a couple of inches above my elbow, im 19, the last time i went to a hair dresser was to get my hair done for prom. my mother dyes it for me, my hairdresser aunt cuts the split ends... but im board! i want a nice style and a lighter colour for spring/summer. at new years i had black and blonde streaks in my otherwise browny/red hair (the faded effects of dying it red/purple weeks before). now my hair is browny red with black, blonde, frais blonde, ginger streaks. yes. im a freak. and i have normal ligher brown roots. gah! help! why style is in and how could i cover both the blonde and blakc at the same time. should i give up and surrender to a hair dresser? im always worried that ill end up looking like more of a twat (if it's possible) when i leave.

lord,

first off not all stylists make people look like twats, and if you do your reasearch you'll find a stylist that can fit your needs. Look at the stylist and see if the stylist has the same type of look you're going for.

I agree with the other person it's a color correction , which should be dealt with by a professional.

Start looking at styles and hair color that you want, and the stylist can work from there.

Good luck :)

wave that white flag high girl!

go to a hairdresser. your hair is far too long to risk damaging it yourself, not unless you want it all chopped off afterwards. i like the long wavy beachy look. dirty blonde or mousy brown, highlighted long hair. you're lucky you have the length already!

To cover the black you will need bleach/color remover...something that is best done in a salon, as it is very harsh on the hair...what you need is corrective coloring...to get you where you want...After all of this you need to make sure that you use a good conditioner and take at easy on your hair..forgo the heat stylers as much as possible ..please..Good Luck

i would definately recommend going to a salon.u need corrective colouring!

u have so many different colours in your hair at the moment that whatever dye u put in now could go any colour...green, pink etc

make an appointment asap.

if u see a stylist with a look u like, find out who did their hair!

look through magazines to give u inspiration.if u see a look u like(or a few looks) bring the picture with u.it is alot easier than trying to explain it

Go to the hair dresser and go back to your natural colour or a little darker. I would go for a heavy fringe I have one and i love it, it frames my face.
