Having Hair Dyed At The Hair Dressers ?

Hi Im going on Tuesday to get my hair coloured at the hairdressers. The to see the hair dresser on Tuesday and she said my hair is really damaged she cut it and where trying to get it in better condition before my wedding in July . When I go back next Tuesday the Hairdresser said she will put a dye on it as my hair is not all the same colour as Ive wrecked it from home dyeing which she told me never to do again as this is the reuslt I get. Anyways she said that putting a dye on it will help condtion my hair as well as its a professional on they use at the Salon. But at first she was going to put on a semi, but now she recommends a permenant. Will this still condition my hair as well or will it just be the same. Im confident in her knowing what she is doing. Its just that I have had it dyed at the hair dressers befor and its was a right mess.

Any help or advice you can give me will be a great help.

I am also a hairstylist. To even out color if you are going darker even a little I suggest that you use permanent color on the new growth area and semi on the rest nthis wil give u the best results with the condition of your hair.

Go with what she recommends as she will know what she is doing. But might be worth buying some hair and nail tablets which will improve the condition and also hair treatments like VO5 hot oils.

Good luck for the wedding and don't worry x

I dye my hair at home all of the time and the hair dressers i recently went to told me my hair was in fantastic condition. I would get a second opinion from another hairdressers.

Make sure you know 100% what is going to happen to your hair. Is it going to be the right colour, and will you like it? Also ask the hairdresser to suggest any colours that might look good on your hair. If your hair is: Blonde, dye it brown...

Brown, dye it blondish or light brown... Red, Brown or blonde... Black...Brown or Blondish.

Ok that was really random. lol! you don't have to listen to me. im just suggesting some random ideas. Anyway, good luck! ~ x

I have mine dyed at the hairdressers and my hair is lovely and glossy and it can inject some much needed moisture into it, going darker is obviously better than bleaching it.

I always dye my hair at home and find it is easy and always get fairly good results. I have had it done in the hairdressers before and found that it didn't turn out has good has i expected.

I always have mine dyed (permanent color) at the hairdresser's. A talented stylist who uses good quality products (mine uses Goldwell) and knows how to create the perfect color formula for you is key. My hair is always soft and smooth after coloring, and he found the perfect formula for the right combination of rich color (mine's brown) with some subtle highlights. Go to a high end salon and pay the extra $$$, it's worth it.
